Do Existing CapOne cardholders get the introductory promos on new cards?

So...a couple of days ago, I apped and was approved for the VentureOne and Quicksilver even though I already have a QS1. I read somewhere on their site that existing customers may not qualify for the introductory promos (i.e.extra 20,000 or 40,000 bonus miles or a $100 cash back after spending so much money) Is that true? That was one of the main perks of me applying.

not really. the site states that but you will still get the bonus and 0% APR period

NP. i have yet to see someone not get the cap1 bonus due to it being too recent.

I believe you get them if you apply for a new account. You don't get the intro offers if you PC the card.

As a data point, I also already had a QS1 card and applied for the QS Visa Signature, got the statement credit with no problem.

Just like TERROR mentioned, I've also never heard of anybody not receiving the new account bonus, regardless of how many Capital One accounts they have or even if they have received the bonus before for that particular product.

Like you mention, though, the language on the website does allow them to be more restrictive, but so far they seem to not be enforcing it.

I enjoyed interest pre period for 8 or 9 statements now on my QS1, and carried a damn near 99% util on it until last week. I think my 0% period ends this coming up Thursday when the statement cuts.

It was nice not worrying about interest. But it encouraged me to max out the card and make minimum payments. That's bad. I was a bad nerd.
