Extended Warranty Protection from Citi gets better

I didn't see any other posts about this but received e-mails last night about my Citi AA card and how they're making changes to the protection benefits offered by them. One particular note was how they have now will extend the warranty of a product you purchase with their cards by a full 24 months. I'm pretty sure this is the longest extended warranty coverage offered by any CC issuer. Here's the particular language included in their benefits guide:

We will extend the manufacturer’s warranty for an additional 24 Months. If you purchase an extended warranty, our coverage begins at the expiration of that warranty. In the event of a covered failure we will repair or replace the item or reimburse up to the amount charged on your Citi card (excluding shipping and handling) or $10,000, whichever is less. In no event will total coverage exceed 84 Months from the purchase date.

Do you guys know if this is limited to the AA card or if it applies to the rest of Citi's line, such as the Premier/Prestige?

I think this is a great benefit. So far, I have only received the email for my Citi ThankYou Preferred, Citi Dividend, and Citi Simplicity cards. I have yet to receive anything for my other Citi cards: Double Cash, ThankYou Premier, Forward, and Hilton HHonors. I can't imagine they would give the benefit to two mediocre cards in their lineup, the ThankYou Preferred and Simplicity, and not extend it to more deserving Citi products, especially the ThankYou Premier and Prestige.

Edit: Email for the Dividend came a few hours after my post.

It's not. Hubby and I both got it the same email for our Simplicity cards.

I haven't gone through the entire link with 32 page of benefits but the email states that Citi is changing providers so in essences all card holders will be getting this feature

I'll be going through this with a fine tooth comb to see if there were other changes (good or bad) to other benefits

I've gotten the email so far for Premier Open123

Received email that same benefits are being applied to the Prestige so it does look like its for all their cards.

I received it for the Citi Forward, so even the discontinued cards aren't excluded.

Thanks for info got the email for my DC card,,,seems like a good thing..90 days for returns instead of 60. Mine says they changed from a company named Trilegiant to Virginia Surety...

Ok, just received the email this morning too, but haven't read through it. 24 months sounds great. Now, there's potentially a reason to choose Citi over Amex for certain higher priced electronic purchases.
