PC from Platinum to QS...chat or online status?

Upon recieving my no AF Capital One Platinum with a SL of $3,000. I used online chat to see if they have offers to upgrade to QS. She said there were none at the moment she said I can check again in few days or to check online using search "Modify Your Features". I was wondering if I used this, would it be the same as if I done via online chat with the rep? or should I only ask via online chat?

I just want to upgrade to QS as soon as I'm eligible so I can start using rewards

Thoughts?

I would just check with reps by chat or phone I have never received an offer using the modify features selector and I have had cards going on 7 yrs now with Cap-1

I used chat because that's what most people had PCd through.

I've had my QS1 since last July. Received a CLI in November. Every time I hit up chat, they tell me there are no offers available at the moment.

Do I need to have a zero balance to PC? If so I just PIF for the third time this statement period, today.

I always use chat with no issues. Platinum is usually eligible for upgrade to QS after its second statement.

I got my own PC to a QS MasterCard via chat (after being told 'no' numerous times in the past as well).

I'll also add that the 'modify features' is quite suspect; I say this because if you have more than one card with Capital One, there's no way to tell the website which you want to 'modify' (all other website functions allow me to select which card via a drop-down box).

I also think that it's notable that they removed the 'Modify Features' from my online dashboard, although it's still available if you actively seek it out by using the search box.

I don't think having a balance matters for a PC; my only advice would be to keep checking in - until I got my PC, I was determined to check monthly.

I honestly have no idea what made them change their minds after literally years (!), but I'm glad they did (it's one of my oldest cards).

It's almost as if they have a magic 8-ball wired up to their mainframe to help them make the decision.

I'll keep trying. Thank you. I did make a couple payments on the payment date but after the cutoff time so I couldn't post my payment until the day after the payment date. That pushed my first Credit Steps scheduled CLI back a couple statements. Then I hit the love button & got a CLI, but that's off topic. Maybe those late pmts are why I don't get PC love.

I basically asked 3-4 times. I tried weekly until it was available. I PCd the platinum first and for grins I tried the QS1 a few days later and they PCd it too. The cards both had pending transactions on them at the time and they were about 2 - 2.5 months old I believe
