I receieved a call from 800-935-9935 which upon an internet search appears to be Chase. They didn't leave a message. I have no idea why they would be calling. I checked online and everything appears in order there. I checked my email and didn't receieve any email from chase. I'm not past due on any payments or even carrying any balances. Just kinda weird since I have never had chase call me before. I don't bank with them just credit cards.

I had them call me without leaving a message (I googled the number which is how I knew it was Chase) so when that number called back again I answered it. It wasn't a sales or marketing call, they needed to talk to me about a dispute I had filed (long story). So if that number calls again I would answer it.

I don't think you need to panic or anything. More likely than not it's just a marketing/sales/"how do you like your card" type of thing.

If they call again, I'd answer, but meh, otherwise, don't worry about it.

I can't recall a bank ever calling me for marketing. Banks don't call for no reason.

Not entirely true. Both US Bank and BOA have called me just to ask if how things were going with my card/rewards, and to sell me other products of course.

Not to say OP shouldn't call back just to ease his mind but it's not unheard of to get a marketing call.

I meant to say, "Banks don't call ME for no reason." Then it would be "entirely true".

I must checkmark those little boxes that say don't call me for nothing.

Not unusual for them not to leave a message as they won't disclose info, even who they are, without knowing exactly to whom they are speaking.

I suppose he could try calling the number back that was on the caller ID, but I think if they really need to speak to him they will call back - at least they did for me.

Just call back and say that you saw that there was a call from Chase and you are returning it. Let Chase direct you to the right people.

It can't be that critical if they didn't leave a message. I did add an Au card to my marriott account recently. I receieved the card like a week ago and its only been used once. I don't see that card listed anywhere in my online profile.

Ok... That is certainly up to you thus, calling them. Maybe they have questions? Who knows.. I hope it is nothing important or anything of concern. Because if they are not able to have their concerns addressed, they just proceed to close the account[s] outright.

If it something really important they would likely leave a message, or send a secure message.
