First Premier Bank Pre-Approval Mailer

Today I received a pre-approval for a First Premier card for $1,000 at an eye watering 36% interest and $130 service changes with an annual fee of $46. I have pretty good credit as you can see in my signature and have some of the better cards out there. How do I still get mail occasionally from these subprime guys? I thought I would have scored out of their target audience a while back.

Do do any of you guys with good/excellent credit get these crappy things still? Is it weird that I get slightly offended by receiving these offers with my scores?

They are just trying to see if you will take the bait.. They have to do some marketing somehow and you were one of the chosen few..

I still get occasionally a Credit one mailer, but not First Premier. The deal is similar anyways, and no grace period for purchases, that's awesome I love to pay interest from the day I do the purchase. Anyways I got like 5-10 between me and my wife citi offers, most for the 2% cash back but for others too, I'll pass for now.

It's shotgun marketing. They throw that big net out there, in the form of mass mailers, knowing they are going to snag some stupid fish. Back when I took a FP offer, I was actually more desperate for a card, than I was stupid. I closed them a long time ago.

I still get them occasionally...what's interesting is how the CL limit changes from one mailer to the next. Sometimes its $500, then $1000, and back to $500.

I got so many "pre approval" offers from sub prime lenders (and a bunch offering prime cards) that I just removed myself from receiving pre screened offers. 7-10 offers a week at times. Didn't want to burn out the motor on my shredder.

Lol. I think I just got that same horrible offer. It was 36% interest! I didn't even know that existed. I found it pretty funny. I can't imagine that would be a best option for anyone these days, even with less than stellar credit.

To the poster to talked about a ton of citi offers... I can't even tell you how many city double cash back offers I've received in the mail just in the last month or two.

It was me, and guess what ... I got another one today for the city Doble cash back ... I didn't opt out cause I want the mailman keep his job, think about all the job security they get just for that mail, from the tree growers, truckers, factory and printing workers and the guy you see the mailman. So I let them keep spending on american jobs. And is less annoying than phone calls.

Lol. I find it fun to see what offers are out there. I just can't imagine why citi would need to send me dozens of prequalified offers for the SAME thing. Same offer details each time. Im truly not interested in that card, but don't want to opt out either. Just seems excessive.
