Well that was easy enough..

I just called the Cap 1 "magic number" and spoke with a sr. account representative. I asked if I was eligible for an CLI and she said she would check.

About a minute later, she said that it had popped up on the screen for a $500 increase, which doubled my limit. I checked online immediately and its already there! Ive only had the card since Oct, and the third statement hasn't even cut yet. I also got a letter about 2 weeks ago stating I was enrolled in the credit steps, which would give me a $500 increase at 4 months and another $500 at 7 months. I hope this doesn't affect that, however I have read of others getting both.

I'm totally happy with Cap 1 thus far, lets see if it continues!

I had the same experience today! I am still very excited!

My card opened 9/30/08 started with a $300 CL, which got doubled today, & is already showing online!

I am also hoping that Credit Steps will continue as planned. I will be sad if it doesn't!

got a $300 cli on $300 cl a few days ago too after my 2nd statement. Credit Steps letter said $450 cli after 4 months and $250 cli after 7 so if those still come that would mean a $1300 cli from $300 starting in 7 months. Pretty happy with Cap1

You'll get your steps increase still.

I got a $300 card in July. In September I got a cli doubling my CL to $600.

Last Month credit steps kicked in to bring my limit up to $1100. I got a $500 increase instead of the $200 stated in my letter!

You guys should get bigger increases then stated in your letter, as the credit steps increase is based on your limit at the time it kicks in! Congrats!

Just called and .....YAY for me I got CLI-$500.00 (doubled my limit). My card was opened 09/19/08, credit steps to kick in on 4th & 7th statements. Woo Hoo .doing my happy dance.

Like I said, I have had nothing but good experiences with Capital One so far. My limit isn't very high, but at least they didn't sell off my card (hmph Citi Upromise)
