Got a 99/500 from BOA!

I applied for the platinum card knowing that i wouldn't get it, but I was really hoping for the 99/500 offer and I got it!! It's only $500, but from everything that I have heard BOA is a great card to grow with. I've had a CRAPPY Orchard Bank for 4 years now my limit is only $500 after 4 years!!! Luckily I do have a Target card that I got about 12 years ago that I never closed so they change that to a Visa in 2007 and that's a $1500 limit...other than that all that I have is an old Macy's that's about 12 years old with a $1k limit and a bunch of crappy rebuilding cards that seem to go nowhere!!

I'm excited and I'm going to treat this card with LOTS OF LOVE!!!

I moved you over to Credit Cards.

Congrats! Great card. Aside from Macys and Bloomies, the 99/500 was my first "prime" CC (no, for those reading, I do consider Juniper sub-prime...esp. after a year with no CLI stuck at $400).

Take good care of it. Never go OTL. Never be late. Keep the balances low. Sing to it at night.....

Congrats.... I got one of those about 4 months ago....I called customer service and they said after 9 months they will refund the $99 and increase the CL to $1000........ I recently got a B of A USAirways card with a $500 CL.. My EX is 615..... Congrats again and take care of the account..... Seems to me like if you're a good Bof A CC customer they take care of you!!!

So how exactly were you notified that you received the counter offer? Was it immediate, by email, or postal mail? I'm going to try for it again next year, just want to be prepared. Thanks!

I applied for the platinum visa, it was declined but they counteroffered the partially secured 99/500 immediately after. I was crazy happy, i triied for this card a bunch over the last 8 months. Maybe having checking and savings with them this time helped.. .my scores are all 590-610, lower than most that seem to get it.

Question for ppl here that have the 99/500, I got approved today and opted to have them take the 99 from my BofA checking account. How long should it take for me to get my card?

It'll report before you get the CC. I did receive my CC within 7-8 days.

7 to 8 days! sweet! I heard before that it took awhile, but i think they were sending checks.

I have a B of A checking account, after the $99 was put towards the card, I got it in the mail in about 7days....

Congratulations!

I applied hoping to be offered the 99/500 card. I was declined due to a 5 year old bk. I do not get it. Others have gotten the card with a bk. I did not include BoA in mine. I did have the card about 15 years ago and closed it as I just did not need the credit and did not like their customer service.

I just have one piece of advice on your Orcard account. My wife had the same CL FOREVER until she called the backdoor number listed on the site and got a $400 CLI. She was so excited!! And shocked!!!

Hi! Has anyone with a bk been approved for this card? If so when was it? I have never had a boa card and thought a secured card might be a way to get my foot in the door, but I know they don't offer everyone this card..Any info would be most helpful!
