I think sending an email or a snail mail letter to the EO for a goodwill is acceptable. But you totally nailed it on the others! LOL&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;FONT color="#FF6600"&gt;I don't get why I see so many complaints about Cap1 CSRs. I've called a few times and every CSR has been very polite and helpful. I called the other night to change my name, the woman was very nice, congratulating me on my marriage. She changed my name in the system there and they Fedex'd me a new card with my new name (I got it today!). Then again, I'm not really a difficult or demanding customer. I would've been fine if they sent the new card regular mail, lol.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/FONT&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;HR /&gt;&lt;/BLOCKQUOTE&gt;&lt;P&gt;I strongly agree. &amp;nbsp;I think the "terrible CSR" mantra has picked up too much steam: &amp;nbsp;probably due to the trivial requests that people would end up taking to the EO. &amp;nbsp;Frankly, I'm glad they shut it down. &amp;nbsp;CLIs are not really what the EO is for.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Well, as promised, I have not done any new apping / HPs since my BofA debacle last month -- so, I decided to try for a SP CLI manually with Cap1 since I have a year old card that I run TONS through and PIF monthly, sometimes twice, and have a 6 month old card with a much higher limit. &amp;nbsp;Called EO with my PIN #, spoke to TWO reps who stated "That as of last week, our policy has been updated and we are no longer accepting requests for Manual CLIs - Capital One has made this decison and it may or may not change in the future, but as of just last week this policy has been updated"....&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Looks like either the EO truly was being "abused" for these matters, &lt;EM&gt;&lt;STRONG&gt;OR more trivial matters&lt;/STRONG&gt;&lt;/EM&gt;, &lt;U&gt;OR&lt;/U&gt; someone is blowing smoke &lt;img id="smileyvery-happy" class="emoticon emoticon-smileyvery-happy" src="https://ficoforums.myfico.com/i/smilies/16x16_smiley-very-happy.gif" alt="Smiley Very Happy" title="Smiley Very Happy" /&gt; &lt;img id="smileyvery-happy" class="emoticon emoticon-smileyvery-happy" src="https://ficoforums.myfico.com/i/smilies/16x16_smiley-very-happy.gif" alt="Smiley Very Happy" title="Smiley Very Happy" /&gt; I definitely had the EO and spoke to 2 different people, and they both put me on hold to confirm with managment so it seems legit. &amp;nbsp;She also made it sound like the UWs were the ones who decided this, or at least aided in the decision, as they are already a "very busy department" ... my question is, what do they do all day if they arent taking manual CLI reqeusts lol ?? Cap1 approved or denies almost always via their computer ! &amp;nbsp;So it seemed odd, but okay ! &amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;So FYI -- anyone looking to go the CLI route via EO, &lt;STRONG&gt;&lt;EM&gt;&lt;U&gt;may&lt;/U&gt; no longer&lt;/EM&gt;&lt;/STRONG&gt; be an option -- she said the only way possible now is via online or automated system channel.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;If others have other outcomes, feel free to post. &amp;nbsp;As for me, in the Garden I stay &lt;img id="smileyvery-happy" class="emoticon emoticon-smileyvery-happy" src="https://ficoforums.myfico.com/i/smilies/16x16_smiley-very-happy.gif" alt="Smiley Very Happy" title="Smiley Very Happy" /&gt; &amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Could be blowing smoke but I could see this being true, I get the reason for having an EO especially with the quality of the drones they have reading a scrpit on the front lines. But I have seen many threads where people have contacted the EO with the most trivial and unrealistic demands. I'm reading about people who have six months of history demanding huge CLI's and PC's to elite status cards with scores of 630 and getting angry with the EO when they fail to please them, while reading this I'm thinking how long before this kills the golden goose.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>I hear ya although calling for a CLI is tempting because the online system is soooo hit or miss. So I can get people calling for that after repeated denials.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;However I agree many others utilize it for BS purposes. The other issue is, as you said, Capital one has some of the dumbest CSRs ever known so it doesn't help either -- even their SR CSR ARE hit or miss at best.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;I guess time will tell.</description>

I twice used their E.O. department, and found it to be extremely professional. I was treated so respectfully, and they really paid attention. I'm just saying that it wouldn't surprise me.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;No way the EO abused&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;1) can't combine my accounts via computer can you&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;2) I got a CLI yesterday but it wasn't enough&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;3) I was denied 2 weeks ago can you manually review my denial &amp;nbsp;again my scores have changed since last weeks manual review of the denial and my baddie fell off&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;4) we changed the number from abuse and require a pin but now the pin is shared and we get calls all day&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;5) i want an APR reduction&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;6) GW&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;7) my dog ate my card can you reduce my APR, give me CLI, remove my lates from 2 months ago, waive my interest and AF, combine my cards, oh and I almost forgot send me a new card and if you can make the CLI from 1k-5k I want a WEMC not a WMC&amp;nbsp;that's not good enough and I know you have them cause I read it on the web @ myFico&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Now how in the world can Cap1 view this as abuse?&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;If I don't get my way I'm closing &lt;FONT color="#0000FF"&gt;Crap1&lt;/FONT&gt; I have better cards ......ha ha ha ha Smh ROFLOL&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;The nerve of Cap1 to finally take a smart business decision to stop bleeding money from this abuse that quite frankly went way to far and as a business owner I can understand the decision and the cost savings probably associated with it ...&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Joey to answer your question now the UW's can now do their job uninterrupted&amp;nbsp;and review accounts for those that are eligible for a 6 month CLI&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;review the flagged computer apps that say 7-10 days for possible overturning of that decision&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Only now upper EO management won't be sending them and in some cases petty and ridiculous&amp;nbsp;stuff that needed to be handled within 2-3 days putting some other poor person that has been spending money taking care of their card and knows nothing about the EO who deserves an auto CLI&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Maybe only $500 but hey its auto luv via UW....&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Now back to the GC and thanks for sharing ...Lol&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>I had a feeling they were going to change there ways and put a stop to it. I don't really blame them for stopping the manual cli reviews. Just seems like way to many people abuse it. It wouldn't shock me if synchrony pulls the plug on credit solutions either. Iv seen people with upwards of 150K+ credit and they have a Walmart store card with a 20K limit. Sorry but I think that's just a little overkill. I know people like utilization padding but I find it hard to believe they need it at 100K+ credit. Some obviously do though. Iv been pretty happy with capital one and have never had to contact the EO for any reason. Iv asked for an increase here and there and it's been denied and iv left it at that. There's other lenders out there if you want a bigger limit.</description>

I think sending an email or a snail mail letter to the EO for a goodwill is acceptable. But you totally nailed it on the others! LOL&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I don't get why I see so many complaints about Cap1 CSRs. I've called a few times and every CSR has been very polite and helpful. I called the other night to change my name, the woman was very nice, congratulating me on my marriage. She changed my name in the system there and they Fedex'd me a new card with my new name (I got it today!). Then again, I'm not really a difficult or demanding customer. I would've been fine if they sent the new card regular mail, lol.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

I think sending an email or a snail mail letter to the EO for a goodwill is acceptable. But you totally nailed it on the others! LOL&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;FONT color="#FF6600"&gt;I don't get why I see so many complaints about Cap1 CSRs. I've called a few times and every CSR has been very polite and helpful. I called the other night to change my name, the woman was very nice, congratulating me on my marriage. She changed my name in the system there and they Fedex'd me a new card with my new name (I got it today!). Then again, I'm not really a difficult or demanding customer. I would've been fine if they sent the new card regular mail, lol.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/FONT&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;HR /&gt;&lt;/BLOCKQUOTE&gt;&lt;P&gt;I strongly agree. &amp;nbsp;I think the "terrible CSR" mantra has picked up too much steam: &amp;nbsp;probably due to the trivial requests that people would end up taking to the EO. &amp;nbsp;Frankly, I'm glad they shut it down. &amp;nbsp;CLIs are not really what the EO is for.&lt;/P&gt;</description>
