Thank you! I was going to feel really dumb if it did have an impact and I maybe could have squeezed another $500 by changing my answer. All in all, I'm happy with the $1,500 for now. I started with a $200 secured in Jan of this year.

I have the QS1 and have had my QS 1 secured with a 200 SL since Jan 2016 and asked for a CLI this week and they denied saying you cannot request increases on this card sooo its good to hear you were able to get one....

I started with a $200 secured in Jan of this year.

Sounds like you're doing great and making good progress!

Yeah, I don't think that question has too much bearing on CLI. I don't have Capital One anymore, but I used to and I know I've seen it asked occasionally from other lenders. Combined my spending on all credit cards is tiny compared to my credit limits on any given one, and my montly spending on a particular card will rarely exceed about 2-4% of my credit limit. LOL, and I prefer to PIF weekly instead of monthly, so really my usage rarely exceeds about 1-2% before I pay it off. So I think it's mostly a coincidence that you happened to get a total limit of exactly what you listed. I'm sure that question does have some relevance to them, but you can definitely get a WAY higher credit limit than the amount you put and conversely they may have given you a much smaller total amount than you put if that's all you'd qualified for.

I always leave that question blank (I don't answer it) and I got a 3k increase on one card, and a 2k increase on another. So I don't think it matters what you put in there.
