Chase Credit Card Fraud

I am pretty up on all my accounts, especially with chase so i know usually what is my balances, etc.

I get these emails back to back earlier. And they look sort of suspicious to me only becuase the numbers they provided didnt match up with the number on my card and it seemed weird, cause there was also a zero balance on first email with the Chase Logo.

The second email from JP Morgan, confused me even more because where it says card ending in, 1234 for example was a number that didnt match up with the Ritz card I have through JP or any of my chase cards.

Called the number on back of CSP as this was the card in reference to the chase email. Got connected finally to their Senior Fraud Specialist, who was sweet as could be. Told me a retailer or merchant reported to chase that they were compromised and wanted to let them know to let cardholders get new cards before fraud happens. So she said ill get a new CSP tomorrow.

Then she couldnt figure out the issue with the second email. Nothing showed up on her end in regards to the JPM email and my Ritz card is fine she said. She couldnt figure it out but tried to until she was satisified that it could have been an error but they are going to monitor fraud still in case. This is like my second fraud experience this month, it was Synch Banana Republic Visa last week. Ive been seeing a lot of people post about fraud spikes recently, at least chase is good to deal with in these regards.

You handled it correctly by calling the numbers you know are correct (back of card). Well done.

Hopefully this is the last of your troubles with fraud.
