If I did would it be anthoer inq and new account listed?

FWIW I made the same mistake... I got the Green card last year as well. Just before the AF was due in April, I went on chat and closed it out. I then waited until I found an offer for 50k MR points for the PRG and I appd and was approved. Easy-peasy...

The only negative to opening the PRG as a new account instead of simply PCing the Green is that you take another AAoA hit, but in my case gaining 50k MR points was worth it to me.

Lastly I knew more about it than the others... Should I have gone with the PRG? Is it better? Why?

I have the same AMEX goals for that green card! LOL. I'm working on building my scores up so I can apply and not get denied again. I've tried several times over the course of my life when my credit scores were much better than they are now and was still denied. In the garden unitl next year...can't wait to submit an app.
