I have been using RBFCU as my primary checking/savings for almost 4 years now. They are amazing. One little known extra that I enjoy about them is that you can usually see ACH transactions in the pending tab before they come out. So let's say an unexpected ACH is coming out of your account today. If you get up in the morning and check your account, it will show pending until about 6:30pm. You can put money in your account before it becomes overdrawn and avoid any fees. For my direct deposit, it usually shows up as pending they day before it is posted, so I know exactly how much will be deposited. Also, they always post my mobile deposits right away. I hate banks/CUs that do check holds, so this is a big plus.

I'd like to try for a credit card issued by a credit union. I was looking at the credit pulls database last night and I saw that NFCU gives around a 5k limit with a TU score of over 680? Mine is currently 689. If I become a member, do I have a chance of being approved for one of their cards?

I pay my car note every 2 weeks and each payment is $20 more than it should be. meaning I pay extra $40 a month..

you can pay whatever amount you want and when you want.

Get a PLOC also, you want regret it lol

Thank you for all the help. When I become a member, do I need to also open a checking or savings with them? If so, what is the minimum deposit? I probably will even if it's not required, I currently bank with BoA and they have requirements to get free checking/savings and also charge for checks, etc. RBFCU doesn't have all that so it'd be better for me anyway.

The loan process in branch is done over video chat. And they have computer and

scanner in the office and all docs are scanned to you and you scan back what's required... You are the only person in the room when you app

and no banker will be in there with you . They submit your apps while your on chat and will give you your approvals while you sit there .

i think you will love the in branch experience....
