Hey all, I recently applied and was approved for the Luxury Card "Black" World Elite MasterCard. The point redemption of 1.5 seems like a good value. I was approved for a Credit Limit of $12,300. The reason I applied, is that I wanted a black metal credit card. (I know sounds stupid) since it has a bonus for a spend in the first three months, that will pay the first year, I would keep it, but so you think it's worth keeping it after the first year. I have a Plantinum card from Amex, so I have most, if not all the benefits.

They claim that it's only available to 1% of the Us Population, but I think that's BS. The Centurian Card is definitely exclusive. Even if I could qualify, I don't think I would ever spend the $7,500 and $2,500 yearly fee. So, I'm just curious if it's worth the $495 a year.

It's so exclusive that I saw a billboard for it today on the side of the florida turnpike. lol.

Something that is only available to 1% of the US population, which by the way, is still more than 3 million people, would not be advertised on billboards, or have an "APPLY NOW" button on the website.

I personally find the ritz card to be a better value. The marriott gold status is worth more than the annual fee of the "black card," and it's metal, and then theres the sign up bonus.

Chase alone has 3 metal cards better than that: all have lower annual fee and 2 are black haha

Was going to reccomend the Ritz card as well. Black and heavy metal, but with actual worthwhile perks. Much better choice than the so called Luxury card.

The demand for this card is probably less than 1% of 1% of the population of the US. With that being said if you can apply for it directly instead of being invited to receive the card it's not really that exclusive. The card is not really too popular around here, but if your happy with it and can justify the AF then enjoy your new card and congrats on the approval.

The Ritz is probably the best black metal card out there if your simply basing it on appearance.

I worked for a company who gave Centurian Business Cards, In my opinion, that was the most overrated card out there. Back then, the enrollment fee was only $5,000 for the primary card. I don't ever recall them offering additional benefits that the Plantnum didn't offer. I did get a brochure one time, showing you could trade in points for great rewards. The one I recall was a 12 month lease for a sports car. If I recall right, it was around $8M points.

Maybe that is what I'll get after the year is up, I'm already going to get charged the annual fee, I'll just need to meet the min spend and convert the points.

I have the luxury cars, yes they pulled TU. I was asking about Ritz Carlton.

Chase can pull anything, I've primarily seen them pull EQ and EX but it can be anything. Check databases for more info.

Using the database would be good to do. It still is not definite on who they'll pull, but will give more of a likelyhood of who.

If you just want to have a black metal card there is a company who can create that for you out of any of your current credit/debit cards. It costs a lot less lol
