Penfed wrong open date.

As the title suggest Penfed have reported a recent account opening with the wrong date and we're not talking a few days or weeks. i'm talking like 46 years. im not sure if its just a glitch on CK or if they really did add the wrong date. i did a quick search on the forums but i couldnt find anyone else with a similar issue as mine.

Does it show a large jump in your AAoA?

It appears to not have raised my AAoA. So must be some kind of glitch.

So the date is Thur Jan 1, 1970? Why does that ring bells? More than likely it will be fixed the first time they report a statement balance.

Close they have it listed at Dec 31st 1969.

It's a glitch, that's the time zone adjusted UNIX epoch. (Seconds since January 1, 1970.)

Has to be a glitch lol. I'm trying to imagine how high an AAoA would be for anyone with that thrown in to the mix lol.

Might not be all that high. My oldest reporting account is 36.4 years, but my AAoA is only 3.6 years.

Precisely. Or in plain english, if they stored "0" as the opening datetime, this is exactly what you'd see. Doesn't mean the date isn't just ignored though. I can't wait to see what's going to happen in the year 2038. I just hope I'm still around and kickin' then to see the fireworks.

My chase reported open 27 years ago on CKa month back.... I'm only 28 so that's an issue. LOL, it was corrected a few weeks later.

Have you checked your reports directly from the bureaus to make sure? Afterall, this is CreditKarma and we all know how funky they can get sometimes.

+1. I actually think the value is null. CK is only reporting it as a zero since there isn't a value set.
