Citi Costco Anywhere Visa - Now LIVE!

Hey guys, the Citi Costco Anywhere Visa will be live soon for applications. I thought it would be good to use this thread for those who are going to apply / have questions. One more day and counting until it's LIVE!

I am going to see if I can PC my TYP to the Costco card. I will let you guys know if it works out!

Some info for those who may not know:

Reward Structure:

4% Gas

3% Restaurant and Travel

2% Costco

1% All other

Application should be live at midnight I would suppose online.. We should see alot of data points of peoply applying tomorrow.. Based on approval stats/odds/limits will decide whether I will throw in an application.. Still kicking myself for never getting the Amex TU card and getting in by that method.. I still tend to believe the UW will be a bit more lenient than other citi cards, but only decent sample size will show whether that holds true. Be interesting day tomorrow for sure as there will be tons of applications i am sure on this forum and data points.

I'm not sure if this is across the board, but I think you can't PC between network types (IE can't PC a Mastercard to a Visa - within a given lender).

Could be mistaken, but if so please let me know. I also have a Citi Thankyou Preferred and it sits in the old sock drawer because it is 100% useless given my newer cards. If they will let us PC it to the Costco Visa, I would definitely be able to use that.

My TYP is a Visa.. When I've called, they said that there systems wouldn't allow a product change until Monday. Some reps have said that it cannot be converted because it's a Store Card, whereas others have said it could depending on account eligibility. So we will find out for sure tomorrow!

Not applying but I'm glad Citi made the card more useful for Costco shoppers. I just am too impatient to wait a year for my rewards, plus every Costco around here is an absolute zoo all the time and unpleasant to shop in. I prefer BJs. Less crazy.

Not all of us have BJ's. . And as to zoo, if not shopping at Safeway, delivery, even with Amazon Prime, is preferred.

However, why rush to app when Freedom is offering 5% Costco?

I wonder if citi will still decline for too many inq on this card... I want to tell DW to app for it because we shop there constantly and the 4% gas

What do they usually pull? And how many inquiries do they consider too many?

I'm sure Citi underwriting will be much tougher then Amex. If you can get approved for other Citi cards like double cash. Your chances are very good with the new Costco Visa.

I'm hoping to get the card through PC'ing my TYP. If not, I would want to app for it. I have 6 inquiries on my EX last two were in May 2015 and Feb 2016. EQ only has 1 inquiry. Utilization is low.. Do you guys think I have a shot?

They consider 6+ inq in the last 6 months "too many" I was denied for having 7 in the last 6 months a few months back... I was denied for a Diamond Preferred with 741 EX and that's who they pulled for me

As of 6pm PST still not working. Most likely I won't be using this card. More of get me in the door card. I have other cards I will use to get points/miles on them.

I've only had one in the last 6 months, but 6 total on my EX, should I be fine then as not all of my 6 were done in the last 6 months?

I wouldn't expect it right at midnight to be honest. It will probably show up sometime during the early "business day" hours tomorrow when all of the Monday to Friday people at Citi are back at work.

Yeah you should be fine, DW got a 9.3 or 9.4k approval from Citi with 11 Inq (all over a year old), so I'd assume you'd be fine
