Anyone approved for the CB Costco VISA with a BK reporting

Just curious if anyone has been approved for this card with a BK showing. Trying to save myself a HP! My BK was discharged Nov 2012. I have a CITI secured card and a Sears card (backed by CB). CITI was not IIB.

According to the Citi EO applications with a BK newer than 7 years will be auto declined and declined again on recon. No going around that rule. This does not apply to Citi retail cards (Best Buy, Children's Place, etc)

I was wondering about the same thing! My BK was discharged in June 2012 with Citi included in BK! Any feedback?

So then if Costco card is considered "retail" an auto decline should not apply. I recently spoke with a CB Sr. Analyst regarding my secured VISA. Stated that they will review the acct in 8 months and will either unsecure and return my deposit or keep secured. Stated that if they unsecure I should be eligible for addl CITI bank products but did not inedicate which prodcuts. Stated that if they unsecure they will offer me a different product but did not specify which.

I'm wondering if anyone's been approved with more then 6 inq in last 6 months!! Really want my DW to get this card but she has 9 inq and I don't want her to waste a HP

I was approved with 34 inqs. They turned me down for the DC and Best Buy cards because too many inqs. So, go figure.

I was turned down for the costco visa as well too many Inq but I have an 827 score on EX, But was approved for the best buy visa,and AAdvantage about 6 months ago $6K and $11.5K respectfully,Citi can be a strange beast sometimes!

It is not considered "retail", since it can be used anywhere that accepts Visa.

Best Buy is a Visa and is considered a retail card, it is issued by Citi Retail. The Costco card is issued by Citi. Citi Retail is a separate division from Citi.

BK Dec 2009 and was approved for Citi HHonors and Simplicity about a month ago. I did not IIB any citi cards. EQ was 710 EX 740 time of application. I did have to call in for each one and talk to a UW and explain eveything.

I would wait the 8 months for the outcome of your secured card. If it's unsecured, apply. In the meantime, I would garden and work on improving your scores outside of your BK.

Wow Citi is backwards.. I got the BestBuy Visa.. Might be a bit scared to apply for this as it doesn't seem near as easy as some people were hoping.. Appaers it can go either way and possibly a double pull which they are known to do

I do need to update my sig line however my scores are all in the low 700s and as previous posters have stated probably not possible to go above 725 with a BK reporting. My top score is aound 720-724. Have not been able to breach the 725 mark irregarless of what I do.

or two. need more data points.. not a very good guinea pig as value my inquiries.. In low 700's with some old baddies.. need some data points.. Citi is a tough nut to crack from me.. Have retail being best buy visa, but no legacy cards of theirs yet was hoping this would be my first with them..
