I have sat here over and over but somehow I have conviced myself that I must have it! lol After those 50k I really dont know how much use I would actually get out of it tho.

perhaps talking about it here i dont really need it that bad and can make better use of other applications

its good to see the two approvals above, gives me hope. Maybe at this point its just sort of a will they give it to me thing, who knows.

I ttoally use URs it is 100% worth it to have the CSP for me as my goals were for travel. I think you need to determine if you are just getting it for the 50000 points or $500. Tread lighlty with Chase and choose a card that will support your goals becuase you only have so many times/options with them.

Are you looking for cash back, travel or perks?

Not the cash, I think I would like to pair it with my Hyatt ard and transfer over to Hyatt but thats the thing, after that I really don't know what I would do with it. So part of me wants it just because and part of me says wait a year or two or whatever, get my other hotel cards and then once i really have my stuff in the perfect area then get this card and the freedom and do the whole UR thing then. Who knows maybe by then I would want it for something else.

SO yes its not like i have a definite plan with it so I should probably wait huh. And I am looking now for travel stuff to have and build. I am stocking up on the hotel cards, I really would probabloy prefer Marriott next over this becuase I like the one free yearly night for the AF, with CSP i see no justification for my needs for the AF. Right now i have the Hyatt and IHG cards and have no problen with AF becuase I like the one night, so I eventually want to add Marriott to the mix.

Car loan inqs, one is a business card that doesn't show up in my report so therefore i didnt include it int he 4/25 total, cap one i applied for end of last year business and got denied, they pulled twoand a CLI. My only concern is the High Util. I app for Chase IHG in November and Hyatt 3 months ago and got approved so was hopeful i could do a go on the CSP soon. 3 of my inq will drop of in Sept not sure if I should wait till then but wanted to take advantage of the Amex high offer for Hilton, not sure if it will be available then.

Miado, I tend to read the Chase and Cap One threads because those are the two cc issuers that I use. Short of someone who works at Chase in lending posting I am not sure that you are going to get a clear answer as to whether you will be approved. Of course, if you can get your utlization down you will have higher scores and be in a better position.

I think it is definitely possible for you to get the card, but I would recommend waiting until you get your util lower and scores a bit higher. I jumped the gun on my app and ended up getting the minimum limit which is lame for travel. One trip had me at 80% utilization. Had I waited one more measly month I think it would have been a different story. I ended up taking a HP to get a CLI.

OK thanks. Definitely the drop offs might help but I should have Util a lot lower by January, so perhaps it might be best to wait till then. I just think if I wait I might have aped for another card by then and ruin it at 5/24 but perhaps I should put CSP on the back burner for abit and wait a couple more months to apply for anything.

I think that it is a good idea to wait. Chase has a reputation of being stingy with CLI's so starting out with a good SL is important. FWIW - I was looking at a chart showing CSP SL vs. FICO scores and 750 seems to be the dividing line between SL's above and below 10K.

I know ive read it but can't remember.

Right now I have decided that I want both hilton cards (citi and amex version) and heck, ill take both citi versions but that is my highest limit card so right now i cant but was thinking og going and applying with Amex (i should get that) and while I was doing Amex I figured i'd throw in the delta card to try to get both cards with one pull.

Reason I want hilton: I just got diamond status match so was hoping to utilize that next year on a trip or two. Other than that have really no reason to get the cards and delta i figured why not if Im taking a HP might as wel try for double and can almost get me a free r/t ticket to Europe depending on what card I app for. (and if I get it)

I think I just want the CSP for the hype, I have determined that I MUST HAVE ONE (although in reality other than transferring to Hyatt I am not sure why lol) so perhaps I should wait this one out a bit longer LOL maybe Ill do an Ironman instead of a marathon.

yeah sadly Chase included their business cards and most of their co-branded cards in the 5/24 rejection rule as of last month.

I got my Ink Plus app in a few days ahead of time, but they retroactively denied me for that reason only because my application had not finished being processed in time.

Sounds like you are going to go pretty crazy on the Hilton HH points! TBH you'll have an easier time getting both of those than CSP from my experience.

OP if you have a banking relationship with Chase, it really helps too - I have my checking and savings with them, and I think this really helped me get the CSP.

In general though, lots of great points made in this thread. Get your utilization down, and I think you'll have a great chance at the CSP.
