Reapply for Chase Slate

I have a chase slate that is doing nothing, I used it to BT some balances a few years ago and now it's useless. I am thinking about closing it, but only if I can reapply for it later. I want the 0% transfer fee BT option again, that was sweet and could come in handy as I have a promo balance expiring next year.

I appreciate if anyone has any experience with this, if it is even possible. I realize they could change terms anytime, but still worth the risk to me.

You should be able to reapply in the future, but it's not guaranteed. Have you thought about a PC for the card to another Chase product that you would use? I recently PC'd my slate to the freedom unlimited. Getting much more use out of the card now.

Good idea, I might do that instead. I actually might benefit from it becuase it's over 50% capacity.

I wish I knew what I know now about PC'ing cards (thanks to all the knowledge of this site). I had some old accounts with Chase, Citi, and CO that I closed several years ago that could have been potential cards for either combining or PC'ing to better products. But I just closed them ..

I feel the same way about my Slate. I ended up doing a BT to my Chase Slate and the PC'do the card to the Freedom Unlimited. I am waiting to receive my new card in tyne mail. It will take 3-5 business days to be delivered. Just remener, the 0 transfer fee is only good if you do it with in the first 60 days of opening the account.... so if you are going to do one.... do it soon..

I'm in the same situation with this card and thought about doing a PC. We'll see, I may do that or see if I can combine it.

It would be of atmost use if you nice folks could be so curtious and expand the abbriviations/acronyms when you use it the first time/first-thread, especialy for the newbies/new-readers who are new to this. Now what is PC? (and CO?). Thank you very much for all the knowledge/experience sharing and the great advice/recommendatons.

PC = product change
CO = capital one (in this thread, is also used as an abbreviation for charge off)

There are many common acronyms in every community. As a newcomer, it would behoove you to do some research on these

To answer your question, however (since I am such a swell guy if I do say so myself!) PC is Product Change, and CO is Charge-off.

what does this mean? You mean you pay that off every month and you would benefit from the points?

Id say open a chase card that you would benefit from take the bonus, and move the CL from the slate and close it. AARP $200 free unltd 3% on gas/dining, plus 0% for 12 months on balance transfers....

but if you are paying interest and your card is always half full, pc'ing to the freedom or freedom unlimited is not really the wisest idea as paying interest negates rewards.

just make sure you havent opened 5 cards in the last 24 months, otherwise your only chance would be to go into a chase branch and see if you can get prequalified.

I want to do this exact same thing. I literally just PC'd my chase slate to freedom unlimited. But now I am thinking I'd like to make a few big purchases on another "Points card" and BT that to a new chase slate with intro fee free BT and 0% intro APR. Has anybody had success with PCing and reapplying?

There are other CCs with offers on Balance Transfer. Chase hates people who churn them, even with BT.....

Come back in two years or longer.
