Ritz AU Cards - Metal or Plastic?

Anyone have AU's on their Ritz Carlton cards? Do they send the AU's metal or plastic cards?

my wife is waaaaay past 5/24. We applied on Thursday, got 30 day notice. If she isnt approved, I'll just add her as AU. Unfortiunately, she has meetings/social stuff that needs the vanity of a metal card.

She'll definitely get the "looks" when using the card. It gets annoying after some time.

What environment is she in that meets this "need"? It could very well be my age but if I am around someone or a group that it means someting if my CC makes noise as it hits the table then I'd more likely than not work my way out of that situation because those are not the type of folks I would want to be around.

My wife is at the absolute top of her game in the creative / advertising industry in NYC. We're still about 1-2 years out from getting enough cash together for Chase Private Client/Palladium card... so need something in the interim.

The Marriott card and CSP card are both metal and have much lower AF's

They are partially metallic cards but no where near the metallic content of the Ritz.

Yes, and it is quite obvious when the card is in your hand or you lay it on the counter. Funny thing is I got so tired of the "this card is SO heavy..." comments when using it that I closed it and transferred the limit to my Marriott "lighter" card.

oh yes. Significantly heavier...a hair over double the weight.

- CSP .04 oz

- Ritz .09 oz

Yes AU gets metal one.. Also Ritz doesn't fall under 5/24 rule either at this time.

Side note it does get annoying after some time people commenting on the card or just the look they give you..

If you can use the $300 travel credit, the annual fee gets down to only $95 . Plus airport lounge , if you use them .

That's called living in vanityland. I was an AU on a Centurion. It did nothing. Clients hardly see you pay the bill. I've never needed a debt tool to convince people to do business with me. And if it's that important maybe suggest it to the company she works for. If you're self-employed then why not get a business card. And yhe Ritz and Palladium are not that impressive. You're using a card average joe citizen can get.
