BOFA CLI questions..

Sorry if these have been posted already, but I was wondering, who does BOFA pull for CLIs? I know they pull EX for apps, like they did mine. Also when does the CLI button show? 6 months? I've just had my second statement cut this week with the cash rewards credit card, love it! Thanks in advance!

TU. I'm not sure if there is a consistent rhyme and reason on the appearance of the love button; I assumed multiple factors are involved.

Look around. It should always be there. They will give you an auto cli every 6 months. I started about 5 yrs ago with a secured card for 400.00 beause I needed another trade line for a mtg. Never thought much about it since it was always pay for everything. No cc's. So almost 18 months ago I decided to app for a real BofA cc. Got 12k limit and it is now 26k. And you don't need a zero balance to get there. I never asked for a cli. Did a couple of BT's with them also. Very good to deal with imo. Congrats on your BofA card!

It will show up, but I would not press it until at least 6 months after you open the account.

I preseed it as soon as it showed up, and had nothing to show for my trouble except yet another HP. I hit it again at the 6 month mark, and got exactly the CLI I requested (at the cost of another HP). Obviously, from what I just said, and from what I have heard from others, ALWAYS expect a HP from BofA.

It's TU normally and at the least, every 6 months would be when it should show up. But when it disappears and shows up can vary. They auto increased me in April and it disappeared until after my last statement at the end of June.

Hi guys!, i got it to show up around my third month, quite recentely as a matter of fact, with my Better Balance Rewards mc. Took the leap of faith and was approved for a 2700 increase so was quite happy. They are one reason id like to use my hps more intelligently as from what ive read and seen for myself, even though its a hard pull, with good responsiblity with your account and such their clis can be nice. I dont think ill ever get like 5 or 6 g increases as my income and profile probably wont allow but i was very surprised to get an increase after only 3 months.Luck to everyone

Yeah thanks @JustBPatient, thats they plan. I know its a major bank and felt really great getting it. Around same time with my Citi Dc but i guess they want more experience with it or something else so im stuck there for awhile. I had originally posted something about the clis with Boa a little while ago so you may be ablr to search it. At sround that time it was suggested by a fellow myficoer named Bowser how you maybe able to get a double cli with one hp.

It seems after approval you would log out and log back in and your cli request link would still be there so you could hit it again. It actually did work for a couple well known myficoers. In my case, i decided to not push my luck as my profile is still building and i am relatively new to Boa. I received their letter for the increase and was told with my current patterns, score, income etc this is what they believed i qualified for so i was like cool understand completely and will definitly keep trying to better my profile hoping to strengthen my relationship with Boa. Just curious to see if it reappears in 3 more months though tempting it may be i want to eliminate all my pesky inqs so may just be happy for alittle long whiles with my current cl!

Ok so next question... Say I wait the 6 months out, and then the CLI button shows up. During that time, I happen to get an auto CLI. Which is not very usual from BOFA from what I have read. If I get an auto increase, will I still be able to initiate a CLI? Or would that reset the clock on it? Because I'm planning on waiting the six months anyways so I was wondering how that all worked. Thanks!

When I requested a CLI, they did an HP on TU. My initial CL was $5K; I requested $15K and they gave me the peculiar amount of $10,100.
