Yes, the Hyatt card is great especially since they'll do a matched tier status to Mlife, which is how I got my Gold status at Mlife.

That being said, this new Mlife card isn't completely useless, you can earn Tier credits when you spend on the card, the Total Rewards credit card only gives you Reward Credits by using their card.

I personally stay more at Caesar's properties because I like their locations more, and I hate having to pay resort fees (I get them waived since I'm Diamond status with Total Rewards, which btw, is terrible that Mlife hotels don't waive for Gold members).

I will say this though, the Mlife card feels like it's made of heavy duty paper rather than a hard plastic card. It's very flimsy to say the least. Also, this is my first card with First National Bank of Omaha and I got to tell you, their website layout is God awful, and I dislike not being able to see pending transactions.

A little late for Mlife.

The Total Rewards card has been out since 2013 and Mlife couldn't even match 5x points at their resorts.

Not competitive of them at all, even though their properties are a LOT nicer than any Caesar's property.

Neither cards are attractive, though, and don't offer much incentive.

I just got the email about this card, and it's on the front page of mlife.com too. I'd actually been asking for this option since my first MGM post-stay survey, as I used to spend a lot less time in Vegas than I do now.

Unlike the TR card, you get 1 reward credit and 1 tier credit per dollar spent (2&2 for gas and groceries, 3&3 for MLife properties). TR only gives you reward credits, with a Platinum bonus tier at $10k/year I think. And the DoC page didn't make that clear enough for me on the first view--although it does say one TC per point.

So, if you're in Vegas once in a while but still want to get status, you could use this card to do it, if you spend enough. Unfortunately I usually have to pay for hotel stays on the work credit card, but there's still potential if you want to push toward higher levels and have a reason to put an absurd amount on the card. (Pearl is 25k, Gold 75k, Plat 200k, so that's what I'd consider an absurd amount--I'm okay with earning Gold organically these days)

Nowadays I'm usually using CSP for MGM properties and non-Caesars dining, TR for Caesars properties, and Marriott VISA for Cosmopolitan.

If you are an MLife member, the Hyatt card is actually a much better one to have for it. They will match the auto platinum status you get with the Hyatt card to the Gold MLife tier. You can also use Hyatt points to book Mlife resorts right from the Hyatt website. I used my Hyatt points with them for my honeymoon. Unless they are ending their agreement with Hyatt, this would be a dumb card to get.
