UPGRADE CAPITAL ONE

I want to thank Gemini101 for his/her post and comment. Gemini101 was able to get upgraded from a QuickSilverOne to a Regular QuickSilver. So when I called six months ago I did not qualify for an upgrade on my QS1 and Plat. After speaking with a rep yesterday, I was informed that I was approved to upgrade QS1 to a QS and Plat to a QS or a VentureOne but both cards had to be closed out and re-issued. I went back to Gemini101 post was informed this was not true. Today I called Cap1 again and was informed that my QS1 will be upgraded to a QS SAME CARD NUMBER..SAME TERMS...no annual fee anymore and cash back going from 1% to 1.5%. With the PLAT ...I opt for the another QS..no annual fee cash back 1.5%.

After the transaction I ask what would qualify a customer for upgrades, usage? internal underwriting? scores? They told me there's a lot that goes into an upgrade.

**It's crazy just 9/2014 three months after BK got a QS1 at $300 Limit and Plat at $500 with Captial One. Feeling blessed this Friday.
