BBVA pulled Early Warning report

I have been ordering every consumer report that I am eligible for to check for errors and I have been freezing them as well.

Got my Early Warning report today and I see BBVA Compass had requested my report last November when I was approved for my NBA AMEX.

The only other recent inquiry was WF when I opened a savings account earlier this year to have a "relationship" with them.

Anyone else have the same experience?

So..what seems to be the issue? I thought all creditors pull your report when you apply except shopping trick cards?

Never had anyone pull that report for a credit card.

If they are pulled in the process of evaluating ones credit app then yes they do matter and are relevant.

Early Warning Services (EWS) is owned by Bank of America, BB&T, JPMorgan Chase, Wells Fargo and Capital One

It seems more like Chexsystems, concerned with bank activity, more than credit stuff

Yes as LTL stated, their the equivalent of Chexsystems. They report banking activities like fraud,bad checks,etc. Not credit stuff. So I find it odd BBVA pulled them for a cc.

It's indeed odd, which is why everyone should check ALL of their reports. Would be wonky if you're denied a credit card for something in an Early Warning report - especially if it contains an error.

Just got off the phone with them. An email with (2) docs has also just arrived. They requred a copy of DL before issuing a disclosure.

Frankly this is getting pretty annoying to me dealing with one after another of different agency's managing of our information like this.

Has nothing to do with BBVA Compass except that THEY USE IT.

Problem with early warning is it is only a snapshots of certain banks such as when I use to bank with BofA how much my deposit were per month, but when I switched to Us Bank they don't report to them. So IMO a 2nd tier CRA which they are IMO should report all or not exist. Obviously the creditors need to report to them, but it is by far not a complete picture. I believe it was Chase and another company that initially funded this company. Can't put a freeze on them either which bothers me to some extent. Anyone providing information determined in credit decisions one would thinkk you should be able to control, but Early Warning and I had an arguement about this close to a year ago. Hopefully they will be forced to comply eventually.
