I have the PNC Cashbuilder. But I have banked at PNC for 8 years. I got approved for 3k with a 650 Experian Score but I do believe deposit relationship matters. I also 1.5% cash back because I have a certain checking account. So maybe you should get a credit card where you primarily bank if you don't have one?

Witch is easier to get? Witch has better rewards? I don't bank with PNC or Suntrust anymore.

Neither bank is particularly well regarded here on the forums. I have a checking account at SunTrust but they are a very conservative lender for credit cards. Reports I've seen here for both SunTrust and PNC have showed fairly low limits and mediocre rewards.

I'd stick with the big banks and credit unions if I were you.

I have a credit card through PNC. 5 years ago I opened a bank account with them when I started college. Around that same time is when I go the credit card. I was signed on as an authorized user. CL of $5000. Fast forward 5 years, CL has not changed. I've never asked for one, though. I believe cashback rewards are at 1.25%. You can do much better elsewhere.

I rarely use this card, as I have others that give me better rewards. I used it quite a bit the first 2-3 years (mostly for college supplies) before I branched out and started applying for my own credit cards. I still don't think my parents are fully aware of how many CCs I actually have. Not that it matters, as I now live on my own & have managed it all pretty well for several years on my own. I do remember getting my car loan..how impressed the car salesman seemed to be with my credit score lol
