Pre-Qualification Credit Card Offer at 4 Months?

Hello, I signed up for an Open Sky CC four months ago, and yesterday I received a pre-qualification credit card offer in the mail from Credit One Bank. I'm kind of confused as to why I'm getting an offer before six months without a generated score. Any help answering my question would be great. I'm still new to credit. Thanks.

It's called marketing.

As soon as a score generates though I'd suggest switching from Open Sky to something like Cap1 and don't take the bait on the CREDIT ONE as it's not CAP ONE.

Thanks for the info. I'm fully aware of the difference between the two banks. Capital One seems like a good option after a score generates.

Cause Credit1 are predators and they are trying to take advantage of you while you are still within their grasp... or so they think. Too bad for them you are already educated.
