BLISPAY HIDDEN TRADELINE STATUS UPDATE

Hi All,

I recently got approved for a Blispay CC and I mainly app'd because of everyone saying it was a "hidden" tradeline. Well all was cool and dandy.. until right now when I pulled my Experian credit report and this account is showing with the last statement balance on it..

Can someone provide me some input as to wether this changed??? I would be so disappointed being that I have charged up this card thinking it would not report

Blispay is no longer a hidden tradeline; they started reporting to Experian about 5 months after the card became available. As of now it only reports to the one bureau, but that could very well change.

Certainly. Best to keep (or try and get) that utilization down to 29% or less ASAP for scoring purposes. I know many Blispay card holders were caught off guard when they started reporting, and many had utilization levels at 50-80%. Fortunately with them only reporting to 1 bureau, two thirds of your scores still won't be impacted. But, of course, that reporting to the other 2 could happen at any time, so best to be proactive without question.

It never was a hidden tradeline, that was just speculation. They are a new company, and it took a while to get reporting set up.

Probably 100% true, but it was kind of a hidden tradeline for a while there. Case in point, we used it to cover funeral expenses of just over $10,000 which would have reported as high utility and considering my Experian score is my lowest (middle for the DW), those scores would have been dinged a bunch - Insurance checks arrived, card(s) paid off, didn't have to wait for my/our scores to recover during the "promotional no report introduction period"

In the original thread someone stated s/he was told by a CSR that BlisPay would report to Experian.

I would disagree to a point with @Captool.

The founder of Blispay was a long time x-executive at Bill Me Later/PayPal Credit. He is basically copying that exact business model but adding additional perks like making the credit line an actual credit card that can be used anywhere online or off instead of just online at websites that accept PayPal for payments.

Both companies charge the exact same interest rate to all people regardless of their income or credit score - 19.99%. Both companies do the no payments and no interest for 6 months if your purchase is over $99 (PayPal) and $199 (Blispay).

People had the Blispay card for five months and it never reported to any credit bureau and Blispay was mimicking PayPal Credit which is a well-known 100% hidden tradeline.

With that all said I think it was beyond mere speculation for people to logically think and have the conclusion that Blispay was going to be a 100% hidden tradeline.

It's STILL (and hopefully it will be forever) a 2/3 hidden tradeline (as I call it) and they only report to Experian, not Equifax or Transunion.

That of course, could change but the many talks people have reported to have on the phone and through email, with Blispay state Blispay is only going to report the credit line to Experian and not other credit bureaus in the future.

I've had my Blispay since April 2015. My Experian credit score was at 795. I was so excited about reaching my bucket list of 800. Suddenly Blispay reported and I lost 32 points due to AAoA. So disappointing. I owe $1,400 out of a $5,300 CL. I have paid all other cards in full every month. Will not be keeping a balance on this card once I get it paid in full.

Damn, what was your AAoA before and after? You must have had very few accounts if that single new account dropped your AAoA enough to yield a 32 point drop?

Mine new reports and shows a PAID zero balance (just checked Experian)
