After calling chase, it turns out you can't transfer limits from $500 cards even if you close the card. If I transfered a limit from my $2000 card to the $500 card, the max i could transfer over would be $1500....$500 always has to stay on one of the cards

I have 3 chase cards - freedom/freedom unlimited/amazon and I want to transfer the limits from freedom unlimited/amazon ($500 each) to freedom ($2000) and close those 2 cards. I opened all 3 cards this year. If I close these 2 cards out would the result have a negative impact?

I was able to close a Chase card with no activity for 100 days (from last payment), and was able to transfer all the limit and close the card.
