Chase Lending Department?

Today I requested to move some of my credit lines around with Chase, rep said I have to go through the Lending Department.... Never had that issue before, any idea what is going on?

Rep submitted the request to the Lending, should I get ready for my CL to be cut?? Amex Style?

Don't risk it! Lending likes to scrutinize just about everything.. Try again in a month or two

Not sure if I was transferred to the same department before but l think it was a lending specialist I spoke to. This was for a credit increase, I know your situation is different. My experience wasn't bad, couple of questions and verifying stuff and was approved.

Everyone has a different experience with lending, I have always encouraged to stop the process the minute they say "we will transfer you to lending to process your request" 99% of the time they send you to lending during a request is because there computer system indicated something that needed further review beyond its senses. Once you get to lending they are known to do some off the wall changes (of course this is UW and they always look for faults not goods). Sounds like you already asked them to send your request to lending correct? If so, good luck and keep us posted on results. The DW had a catastrophic experience with these guys this past December and since I don't mess with lending department.

Lending makes the ultimate decision. If the account is in good standing, you should have no problems whatsoever.

I had the same thing with me but they gave me no problems.

i closed the United card and moved the limit to soutwwest.

if you are in good standing you have nothing to worry about it .

I have been transferred before a few times...even making a line $35,000...should be no issue if your reports look good.

I did some small closings and limit moves this month and no transfer to lending. I would probably be chicken if my EX wasn't clean (as my TU is not).

Closed 20 month old 6.5k Marriott

Closed 30 month old 2k Amazon

Moved the 8.5k and PC'd CSP to CSR

All in the same call, with $2400 usage not yet paid (I normally pay all or 'almost all' after statements cut).

4% OA utilization, only 2k to 3k usage across all Chase cards.
