9 yr card closed by lender due to returned snail mail, no attempt to notify by phone or email, do have another open card with--quelle surprise, the same address.

Didn't notice until a few weeks after closure...actually, wait, it dropped off online profile which was odd but dismissed it as a site maintenance type glitch (Sunday) and didn't follow up right away.

Reportedly 'procedure' to 'reopen' require a HP and snail mail or fax request to reinstate account.

US Bank closed my second-oldest card due to non-use. They sent me a letter a week AFTER it was closed.

It was a Kroger card (and no Kroger companies within probably 500 miles of where I am now), and only had a $500 CL, so not heartbroken about it. Still, not happy, either.

Nearly just let it go, looking to be INQ free--still have a handful on all three, such a dumb reason to allow HP...sigh but it's close enough to AAoA, only around 5k below avg CL, provides diversity...just enough to needle into doing it since the INQ won't matter much, a bit irksome nonetheless.

This experience is on par with other reports of encounters w USBs rather antiquated system, they need to get themselves sorted!😁
