Asking for CLI on just approved BOA BankAmericard Credit Card

Hi everyone,

I was wondering if anyone has had any recent expierience with Bank of America BOA and their credit card products. I was just approved for my first credit card with them and wanted to try and have my initial Credit Limit increased to match my other credit cards.

Has anyone reconed their intial credit limit recently with BOA?? and what would be the best contact to attempt that with BOA?? Basic customer help phone number dosent seem the way to go. Thanks for any advice.

You can but your chances are somewhat slim. Also, bear in mind it will be another hardpull of your reports. For best results, use the card say for about six month and then request it. But it is certainly up to you of course....

My inital CL was 12,000 for the BOA Bank Americard with 21 months0% then 11.24% after . I was trying to ask them to be closer to matching my other cards in the range of 20k. Since it would take another HP I will just use it some and wait for it to grow in 6months to a year. Hoping for a SP CLI option increase along the way.

I agree with this. They will put a link to request an increase on your account online. I got it at 4 months. Some people get it sooner, some later. You can enter your requested amount and they can counter. Most will say shoot for the stars on the request. BOA usually very generous on the increases. Many report tu pull for it. It was with mine.

+1 for waiting to get a CLI. I got mine at 3 months I think and it was more than double my line. BofA turned out to be a far more generous lender than I had ever thought they would be, but they do like to see some history.

I agree with above posters. I got a cli link after just my 3rd month and was approved like Noxqs said more than doubled which leads me to believe you will be sitting pretty if you just establish a couple months history. You could probably get it now as you probably have a strong profile to get 12k out of the gate but up to you. Best of luck

3 months in I requested a CLI on the phone and got a notice in the mail saying it had to be open at least 6 months.
6 month mark just passed and still no CLI button.
