Amazing Balance Transfer Offer on Cap One Card

I have had my 2 Venture One cards and 1 Quicksilver for over a year. My total credit lines are $28,000. Well today, they sent me a balance transfer offer of 0% apr for 18 months across the venture one cards and for 12 months on the Quicksilver. I couldn't believe it.

And right on time. I have dental work on my care credit that's already 6 months old. This gives me an extra year on the $5k balance.

Yeah it is. That $5k was a Synchrony debt. Now I'm down to only like $2,000 owed across 3 cards. My utilization was only 10% with them, but you never know why they come for people.

Yes but you don't mention if there's a balance transfer fee.

They used to give me 2 offers, one interest-free, one fee-free.

After I opted for the fee-free one several times, they began offering that exclusively.

I like the way Cap One has treated me on balance transfers.

Yes, they have been sending out a lot of these recently, I received one for each of my Cap One cards (Barclays has been sending a lot recently as well). Guess they are trying to build up their loan portfolios.

In any case, a very important factor is the balanct transfer fee, which is usually around 2-3%. The issue with that is that you pay the fee all up front, so it only makes sense to do it (even with 0% APR) if you plan to carry a balance for quite some time. Of course, that's best avoided if at all possible and why BTs are pushed by lenders.

Got the 0% offer as well, but only for 12 months, which is OK cuz I'm only xferring $2,400.

I have got the same offer for 18 months at 2% fee. I used to get 1% fee offers on my barclay card which they are now 2% too. I have a Lexus Pursuits Visa card which surprisingly sent a balance transfer option fo 18 months at 1%!!!!

The BT fee on my Cap1 NHM card has always been 0% AFAIK and since first receiving the card, but the CL on it is too small to make a BT to it very appealing...

I got the same offer today for my venture. 18 months 0%, 3% fee.

Just got approved for Slate at 15 months 0%, no fee. I have a baby balance of $2500 on my PenFed that I'm gonna throw on the Slate. Only paying 4.99% on Penfed would rather zero of course.

I also got a "temporary 6 mo" apr reduction to 14.15%..its something I suppose

I received the offer as well, both for my Venture and Quicksilver card. The term is the same at 18 months for 0%, but oddly the QS offer is 2% while the Venture offer is 3% fee. Either way, not a bad deal to pay off major dental work just about to expire on Care Credit's 6 month 0%.
