Any low FIXED Rate CCs you would recommend?

I've been doing some shopping around for some good low fixed rate CCs that are not secured CCs. Seems they have all but disappeared since the financial crises a few years back.

I have my eye on Unify's 8.99 Fixed Rate Visa Platinum, but was wondering if any of you use or know of cards lower than that.

Lake Michigan CU advertises as low as 6.5% Underwriting is beyond conservative though.

Premier America CU has a 7.5% fixed rate cc WITH rewards which is rare! Limits up to $50k!(thanks galahad15 for heads up on this gem)

Not only rewards, but no AF, no foreign transaction fee, no balance transfer fee, and a 10,000 point sign up bonus! Mind boggling. Haven't applied yet, but thinking about it hard.

Nice! 6.5% - Care to expand on "beyond conservative"? If it means what I think, I may not meet the requirements though I but I am sure to check them out.

Thanks for the kind compliments baller! Actually themanwhocan first originally posted on it some time ago I think, and included it in his fixed-APR chart IIRC, so I was really just posting about it and passing along his fantastic find there, and so he really deserves the credit for the find tbh; I am just trying to spread the word about it more on the forums But again many thanks to you as well!

It also has really nice extra perks and benefits IMO, such as trip cancellation or delay insurance, lost or delayed luggage insurance, price protection, and others that can sometimes be hard to find all on one card FYI as an additional data point and if you're looking for the lowest-available rate of 7.50% F, according to a CU rep I spoke with shortly before I apped for the card, people with EX FICO 8 scores of at least 730 can potentially qualify for the 7.50% rate.

There's the Barclaycard Ring. It's 8.25% APR... no AF, no BT fees, not secured, can still be applied for.

Hmmm...this card is showing as a variable rate card, not fixed rate.

Regardless... its rate has been low like that for years now, and it came after the recession.

It is a good rate, paired with no FTFs, $3 cash advance fee, and copious (almost excessive) bt checks...but their community news of driving in new aps this month with 0% for 12 months then 12-14% makes me think its days are numbered. I won't lose any sleep over it, although my SO will due to recent increase to 20k. Card would have never been opened with knowledge we have today.

Themanwhocan's charts are always a great starting place, and I wouldn't expect anyone to keep that much info updated 100% of the time. It shouldn't be too difficult to find a single digit fixed rate card, might require joinging a membership of some sort to bypass geo restrictions but well worth it. Looks like he might be updating his list as they are nto displaying

The other day I got quite bored and was calling around some near by CUs. It seemed 75% of them required a credit score of 650 to get their lowest rate. No as far as credit line goes that is another story.

I think aside from the prime lock card the Western/Unify 8.99% fixed....but they do have a variable listed as 5.24 but between a few members here its reported that its still at 4.99% https://www.western.org/uploads/docs/Western_Credit_Cards_Compare.pdf

The PACU is pretty solid though considering its plethora of perks paired with its low fixed rate. The cash back essentially reduces the APR even more! I would like to know what kind of scores/income a person needs to get a 10,20,30k+ CL. I cant remember what Galahad told me in regards to CLI process if it was HP or not...

Nice find. POI, as opposed to Alliant and BECU? Membership available to all?

Yes anyone can join and qualify for membership to Premier America CU by joining the Alliance for the Arts, not 100% sure if a donation to the affiliate organization is needed or not (IME, I donated $30 to the Alliance for the Arts when I signed up, although the CU CSR I spoke with after approval for the card said that the membership is processed by the CU automatically when someone is approved for the card). Also, they only do one HP to EX, that you can use for both the CU membership and card applications. In my case, the way I did it was to app for the card first (I think you have to do it by phone since when I tried to app online, I kept getting some sort of error message), and then once approved, I joined the CU. The CU rep mentioned that you can choose to app for the card first, but if you do and are approved, at that point you would have join the CU as well.

Sorry, could you please elaborate on what "POI" stands for? I did try to look it up online, but the only abbreviation references that I could find for it were, variously, "Persons of Importance", "Places of Investigation", and "Point of Interests"?

I'll actually have to double-check on that with the CU as well the next time I give them a call, since I've forgotten what their answer was for that myself lol...
