What cards are in your dream wallet?

Cards on the market today, would probably go ahead and have the CSR, Citi Prestige and then maybe my Sallie Mae MC for gas n grocery?

What would you guys have?

CSR for the bonus & also the travel credit and UR points, Prestige for the 4th night benefit. And then SM for gas and groceries like I said.

What card would I have in my dream wallet?

Probably a card that had a 0% APR that never expired, at least 5% cash back on all purchases, a card that would never report me late......lol

My dream wallet is full... only thing I would add temporarily is the Chase Sapphire Reserve. It would be for the 100k points only though and I would close it afterwards. It's a great card, but it's point system and transfer partners aren't of much use to me.

I just gotta get rid of the nightmare/useless cards that are tarnishing my dream wallet though

The Barclays Ring card. That is by far the most useful card to me.

I could live without all the others. They're just for amusement.

I already have the wallet I want. One slot has a Sapphire Reserve for travel/dining spend and the other slot has a MileagePlus Club card for everything else. I will keep both until such time as United runs me off or something with a better redemption rate comes along.

I also keep a ThankYou Premier as a backup in the unlikely event that Visa isn't accepted somewhere.

With the United card, how much do you get out of the card? Are the points that valuable? Cause I see that it's 1x on everything.

I already have most of the cards I want but my wish list are below:

Citi D.C. - Rewind sounds so good... but Citi hates me...

Costco Citi Card - ugh I wish AMEX still owns this, Citi wont let me in

NFCU Any Card - just because I can't seem to get a card with them regardless of my TU score

Discover IT Card - they will only approve me for secure card.. meh.. I want the real deal

CSP - Chase hates me so I'm stuck with their $500 Amazon

I get 1.5 miles per dollar and ran around 70k through it last year. It will be lower this year with the CSR siphoning away dining and travel which is over half my spend. The main perk for me is Club access, which as a 1K I tend to use with some regularity.

I love the miles because I can put them to good use. I used 320k miles this year on a pair of RTW biz tickets and next year am looking to do something similar. I priced those at around $6k per ticket so I came out well over 1 cpm.

Hotel points come easy enough from just staying at properties whereas now miles are best earned via CC spend. Even though I flew over 125k miles last year, I earned more miles via CC spend than I did flying.

I usually go direct to the vendor. United.com for flights and the Marriott/Hilton mobile apps for hotels.

These are the daily drivers I currently carry with me.

AMEX BCP – 6% groceries other than Walmat; also buy grocery store gift card then use the gift card to pay for their automobile gas

Citi Double Cash – 2% all purchases, use for doctor, prescriptions, insurances, property taxes, et al

SallieMae – 5% Walmart – do most of my grocery shopping at Walmart

Chase AARP – 3% dining

I do not need travel cards.

Already have all/most of my dream cards in my wallet, just have to work at gradually increasing my existing CLs now.

If there was a hypothetical perfect card out there that I could have customized or tailored my individual preferences, it would probably be a card with a go-to, fixed-rate APR of between say 4% - 5% F or thereabouts. I know that realistically even if that could actually happen IRL there would no rewards associated with it, but I guess with an APR that low which is also fixed, the interest rate in itself is the reward. The closest I have in my current collection to that ideal scenario is my PACU MC at 7.50% F and my FNBO Amex at 6.50% V, and so I'm happy for the most part with what I already have atm

I was thinking about this question a bit, I have most of the dream cards I have ever wanted, CSR, DC, Discover it, Amex BCP etc. However if there is a holy grail card that is truly unobtainable for me, it's the Amex Centurion. I know that an Amex PRG or Platinum is better but there is something about that titanium Amex...
