FNBO Design Your Card

Hi all,

To my dismay I was informed of an HP to my EX file from FNBO. I gave credit services a call as I had not apped for anything new nor requested CLI online (which is an HP, by the way) I was asked if I requested a new card for my bucksback visa, which I had, I requested a personalized picture card about a week ago, was then told that requesting such a card will result in a HP for security purposes so I am just letting you all know had I known this I would never have even bothered an image card is not worth an HP.

Wow.... That is ridiculous! Pretty soon they will want a HP if you want to login to their online services.

For those who might been considering to do the same (and can catch this post) you just saved them from a HP.

sorry to hear, you should maybe try the process again but not submit and see if there were any specific disclosures during the process. If there weren't I would definitely try and get it removed. That is an unfortunate business practice.

That's odd. I got my Bucksback card personalized probably back in April or May and I didn't see any HP for it.

Got mine just in time! Personalized my Platinum a month and a half ago with no HP.

Lets hope Capital one doesn't start this

This is crazy! It has to be a mistake... Basically they are saying to issue a replacement card would result in HP! That can not be accurate.

I called CS to have them merge my two CCs with them and their supervisor told me it was not possible and I was not a 1st person asking for that, therefore no way to do it. I then called Credit Reallocation and they did it for me in 2 min.

I would say call Credit Reallocation and have them remove the HP. People are going to need a replacement card for many reasons, if every time they are going to HP our record then NO ONE would want to have an account with them.

It was the credit reallocation department who told me this, I called them directly and never talked to upfront CSR.

Interesting, I spoke to them again and they still say it was due to the designed card request... I have no idea why Im different.

I'm a believer of "it is what it is" (at least sometimes) but this not only doesn't sound 'right', I have to wonder if it's even permitted.

I'm no authority on the fine print of the various rules/codes but perhaps RobertEG would be able to provide additional info?

He might at least know if they are breaking the rules; of course if it's worth your time/effort to pursue would be another question.

In any case, thanks for sharing with us here.
