It is really nice looking but what makes the card great are the rewards.

You get 250 dollars when you reach $200 dollars in cash back.

I received my $250 check in 3 or 4 months. It is great

Also in the summer from august to october, if you spent at least $1000 dollars, you received an additional $100 dollars.

I looooooovvvvvvvvvveeeeeeeeee this card. lol

I speak about this card so much to everyone my fiance said i should marry it instead of her.

I told her maybe she needs to start paying me for my services and then maybe i will love her more lmao

That is when i learned how to only say "Yes Dear" lmao

Now THAT'S funny. Count your blessings that you learned this valuable lesson BEFORE the wedding.

Thanks for the info. about the summer months. Hope that wasn't just a one-time thing because I intend to use this card for my utilities (to get the 3%) and I live in AZ. My electricity ALONE is over $500 a month in the summer. I can spend $1K on this thing with my eyes closed!

Only the regular Freedom card that i can see. I could be mistaken and just did not find it.

You can also do much research on here to see that anyone who has the freedom Plus card states there is an AF after the first year. Everyone can not be incorrect on here.

Just a suggestion, if you think a person is mistaken, it is more customary to ask if the person is sure or maybe somewhat mistaken, then to directly say you are wrong.

We are all here to help and be supportive and if someone, (and in this case we are not) mistaken, please be a little more cordial.

sorry forgot about the hard pull.... You can product change with Chase I think every 30 days if you want, the CSR have certain cards in the system that they can product swap out for you, but if it's there and you want it, your apr changes and your rewards of course depending what card you change to but it's painless and no credit check.

although this freedom plus is at 13.24 i think, thats lower than the 16 something we had on circuit city.

the regular freedom was 9.24, so after a few months of using the card and getting the balance paid off I'm asking for lower.

same as southwest!

You can't product change all Chase cards. Borders Visa is an example.

But Chase is great about letting you do a product change when the underlying company goes belly up, or when their agreement comes to an end. So I'm waiting for Barnes and Noble to buy out Borders so that I can do the same, lol. (I'm certainly not holding my breath, though. More likely the other way --Borders buying out B&N.)

I just got a dead end on my rewards card. The CSR was very nice but had a canned speach about how a letter would be going out. Some of the CC accounts would be converted on a case by case basis, etc. Nothing he could do now except give me the speach. He made it sound like good customers would be retained but who knows. They may be belly up by the time the letter gets sent out.

Edited for slack typing

Message Edited by contractor on 01-16-2009 06:59 PM

Thank you Oracles... I mean I did sit and listen to her 10 min word for word form she had to read about the new terms. they charge the annual fee to offer you the 3% on top 6 categories, if you don't care about that, get regular Freedom Visa, it's FREE!
