Anyone apply for the Merrill Lynch Visa with 50,000 point ($500 cash) bonus that's going on now?

I saw this on Doctor of Credit and the 50,000 bonus points comes out to a whopping $500 cashback credit or gift cards on a small $3K spend over the first 90 days or $1,000 toward airline ticket. Looks like you DON'T have to be a Merrill or BOA customers as well. Thoughts? They pull TU as well and with $500 back might pull the trigger in 5-6 weeks.

Thanks for sharing... Always loved the looks of this card. I believe the rewards are kinda meh if I remember right, but the sign-up bonus is certainly nice. Be surpsied if they pull TU as BofA typically is an Exp puller, but certainly will pull TU if your Exp. is not available and you ask them to

The card rewards are crap, but the sign-up bonus is huge and I agree the card design really bad a$s looking. I'm thinking if I can get it just for the $500 cash bonus and then simply close it in a year.

love that catch you found didnt click on them until you modified your post.. All very old lol.. Comments on his thread are better DP's although they don't include scores/inquiries/etc..

I'm going to convert my BofA Cash Rewards card for this one. I have two of the Cash Rewards cards. Will probably forego the signon bonus. We can still apply for another new card if we like to. I'll give BA a call.

Let us know if you apply who they pull I've heard TU and EX. I want them to pull EQ or TU if I apply and I've also heard the credit lines aren't that big for many. I would be hoping for a minimum of $10K and ideally $15K-$25K with scores in the high 770's-780's, 6-figure income, only a 3-4 inquiries (last two years) and new accounts this year.

highly doubt they will allow a PC to a co-branded card.

Can't convert a cash rewards card to travel card.

Apply for a new one then. Just not now. This card has been up for quite some time. It was mainly for Merrill Lynch clients.

Not sure. I've seen this card for some time. Had no interest with its reward program. I may check back in 6 months and I think this card and the bonus should still be around.

CC is correct that BoA will not allow you to PC their regular cards to any of their co-branded cards - I have received confirmation of this directly from BoA multiple times when I asked.

It relates to their partner agreements with their partner cards - this is what I was told several different times.
