What's this months Cabela's card???

This economy has really slowed down the conversations on this site too, we need some excitement back in here! lol

My excitement these days is getting my statement and finding that I have not been ratejacked and my CL is still intact!

My excitement these days are going online in the morning in checking all my credit cards to see if anything new happen lol

Actually paying my bills also makes me feel very good.

The only feel good I get from paying credit cards is if I can click PAY IN FULL!! which I have been doing 1 month, but I'm almost out of small ones, so it's going to move to about 1 every 3 months, and then 1 every 6 months as the balances get bigger, but it's my goal in 2009 to get myself out of line of fire from these banks with all this debt!

Very good plan, small battles won.

I also have some goals that make me feel good everyday i get closer to obtaining them.

I want a Penfed card but also i want to hit 800 scores.

I dont know what to do because i know if i apply for the penfed card, i will not hit 800 due to new credit on my report.

I just dont know lol

I probably will hold off on the 800 score to get the penfed card because of its rewards.

Cabela's club visa, just about everyone that applied for it 5 months ago was approved all within like a 3 day period. It was my largest approval since BK.

Well I have heard they are questioning people why they are applying for the card now if they have never bought anything from Cabela's before, but does not sound very hard to get past that, order up some flashlights or something and apply for the card to pay for your purchase!

Umm, why are your balances getting bigger? Wouldn't it be a more productive use for all this energy to make them get smaller?

SORRY, that wasn't clear, I mean as I work on the bigger cards, the balances are higher, not that I'm making them bigger. Right now I'm paying cards off with like 2k on them, then next is the 5k cards, then the 10k cards and so on.

Apparently, the Cabelas wave is over. I just apped with an EQ 663 (pulled right before apping) and an income of $85,000. I had seen it posted somewhere that they needed at least a 640, but I got denied for having a collection (almost 6 years old) and high UTL. I tried to call to get a recon, but they said the decision is made electronically and there is no way to override it (I doubt that).

High util% will almost certainly get you a denied.

Sorry you did not get it but get your util% down and wait a year to get the CA off and you are good.
