When does your monthly Amex EX 08 update?

Relative to your closing date and the date your Amex account usually reports to the bureaus, when does your monthly EX FICO 08 score update on their site?

My closing date is tomorrow (20th) and typically Amex seems to report to the bureaus between the 22nd and 26th for me, although this month they reported on the 8th-12th for some odd reason. Anyway, just wondering when you guys typically see your score update relative to your closing/reporting date. Thanks.

For me it updates twice. On every 3rd and 19th of the month.

Mine seems to update at random. Sometime once a month, and sometimes 3 times. No rhyme or reason.

In November mine updated three or four times (seriously) but I also got an auto-CLI, so perhaps that had something to do with it (although I've seen it update multiple times in a month other times as well).

That said, back in the spring (April/May) it once went over two months without updating, so at least in my case it's quite unpredictable. I've been using Discover's 'scorecard' to check my FICO EX 08 when Amex goes too long without updating.

I used to think that the more I used my card (or rather, the higher the balance went) the more they would SP me, but that's not accurate, either (at least for me). This month I've actually used all three of my cards quite a bit more than usual (this is especially out of pattern since in the past I've never used all three significantly in a single month), but so far no December SP.

Interesting, seems there is no real pattern to count on here.

For those receiving multiple updates per month, clearly Amex is opting to SP those accounts more often for whatever reason. Not necessarily a bad thing.

Due to name issues on my account my score has never updated (almost 6 months now) but Amex thinks as of last week that it may be resolved. I was thinking that after my closing period today that perhaps in the next few days to week tops I could see my first score update since opening the account, assuming the EO was able to fix the issue with my account. It would be nice for them to get a SP on me as my profile has strengthened a good bit in the last 6 months...

I'll keep my fingers crossed for you; with a little luck you'll be getting an SP soon.

At least you have an established case with the EO to fall back on (by that I mean that 'worst-case scenario' at least you won't have to start from scratch).

yes, i forgot, I also DID get 4.5K auto CLI in Oct (10/19) after i ignored their 3K SP CLI (8/18) offer through email.

They updated my score three times in September

Very true! If I don't see an update in a week or so I'll probably just reach out to my contact to let him know. I'm not sure if they can initiate a SP on their end to try and force one through for testing purposes or not, but that's something I'll inquire about in a week if I don't see my first update.

I'm most concerned that this issue gets rectified before mid-February when I will be requesting my second CLI with Amex. Naturally, I'd want them to be going off of my ~760 score/profile and not the 736 that I was approved with when I opened the account. Not a HUGE difference, but certainly worth noting.

Mine updates the 14 ish. My statement cuts on the 18. I can't see new score until a couple days ( a day) ish after my statement cuts.

Mine updates any time there is a change. So some months it's a few times and some months maybe once.

Amex seems to update their scores alot more these days.. Experian it has been close to 6 months since I had a new HP, but sometimes I get my scores updated 3-5 times a month recently where-as in the past it was usually once a month. So not really sure why so many SP's recently as nothing has changed in my profile other than it is getting better.

I usually get 2 a month. Generally between the 10th-17th and again around the 28th-31st.

Interesting, does appear to be on changes at least for me.

I got 2 in March last one on the 26th but I replied to the SCP offer during that time so I suppose that's not unexpected and they skipped April.

Since then I had it once a month somewhere between 22nd and 25th, until last week where my tax lien got airstruck from EX and what do you know, Amex has a new FICO score for me on the 14th.

I just realized the updates I get coincide with when I applied for cards. 10th, 16th, and 29th.

Interesting.

I spoke with the EO again today and am told that my score should update tomorrow which will be the first (and only) time it has updated since 6/25/16. I'll believe it when I see it! Hopefully this means the account will report to Experian as well at that time which would be nice as my total credit limit on EX is $30k less than the other 2B due to the lack of this account being reported.
