Chase Freedom Unlmtd offer, but am not within the 5/24 rule?

I have the Chase CSP, Freedom, and as of last night, the Amazon Prime VS.

All have $0 balances and I recently got a $2k auto-cli on the Freedom.

On my accts page, i have an offer for the Freedom Unlimited. $150 bonus on $500 spend.

I have at least 10 new accts in the past 2 yrs. So why is Chase giving me an offer for the Freedom? It has a specific interest rate listed as well.

Any thoughts? Thanks.

I was approved for the Chase FU from the offers page while over 5/24 on Dec. 4. I've heard that it can go either way but it does happen.

Do you think Chase knows that you currently have 10 new accounts in the past 2yrs? I don't think they would know that until they pull a new HP.

Like the folks above said.. Highly chance of approval if not 5/24, or Chase makes exception.. I have seen a lot of people here who got approved for Chase cards above 5/24.

They would know. Those offers are based on SPs.

If its offered to you on your offers page then its pretty solid.

I am 17/24. I was offered CSP and Slate. I chose and was approved for Slate at $6200. I have since combined the limit on my FU.

It will be a HP. They pulled TU on me.

In my experience the offer was solid for a CSP (also had FU and Slate offers) about a month ago and I was over 5/24 before the offer became available.

I thought it was pretty well understood that preapprovals (or in this case selected offers) override 5/24, which is why removing CSR from preapprovals upset a lot of people. As with any approval, it's not guaranteed (if your credit profile has changed for the worse very recvently for example), but don't worry about 5/24 if you want this card.

That was the single reason. So much for being a solid offer online.

See I thought Chase only approved one credit line within 30 days. Even thought Amazon is co-branded, it is one of thewir cards. That SP they used to generate your offers I'm sure also did not include that card.

While I could be wrong, I wouldn't use your expereince as a deciding factor on how solid Chase's account offers are.
