My scores were not far from yours when I first got ahold of a CSP. I had applied right after getting a SW card approved.

I am trying to figure out if Chase will approve me for the CSP card. My EX is 687, TU 651, EQ 649. No collections for EX, 1 on TU and 3 on EQ which should be coming off soon. I have a charge off which is a couple years old. I have a Cap1 AU for 10k with 29% utilization. Is there a chance I can get approved or should I forget about it for now?

The real question is do you have any of your own cards, and has one of those been at a $5K or more limit for at least a year?

Chase typically does not like to be your first $5K+ card, and will frequently deny someone for the CSP for inexperience at higher limits.

I think a Chase CSP is pretty ambitious given your scores, baddies and overall profile. I doubt you would get approved. The only way to know for sure is to that the HP and see if you get approved but if I were you I would let the baddies age off that are coming up soon and reduce your utilization and then go for a freedom.

What is your income level?

If your income is over a certain point and with those scores Chase may approve you. I would do the pre-qualification tool Chase has and see if any offers pop up as well as possibly consult in-branch.

Hope this helps!!

Chase Sapphire Preferred- BOA Travel Rewards- Barclay JetBlue MC-

Barclay Apple Rewards- Synchrony WalMart MC- Cap One QS MC- BP Gas
