Requesting CLI on Chase Freedom?

I cannot seem to find the CLI page for Chase? Do we have to call? Please let me know.

There's no way to do it online. You have to call and it will be a hard pull.

For the love of god don't bother calling Chase for a CLI. You don't want the ensuing headache. They pulled my credit 3 times- twice on Experian back-to-back for 1 CLI request on my CSP. STAY AWAY! They're heathens

Did you call to recon? Their analysts will sometimes do a HP when you speak with them. Otherwise, you only authorized them to pull one time, so you should be able to easily have that removed. For what it's worth, my wife called a few days ago and got her CFU doubled from $9,700 to $19,400 with a quick and easy call and only one HP. (They have double-pulled me before, but not on the same CB.)

I called back only once. They deny they double pulled on Experian at all and suggested I dispute it with Experian. Haha. Right...Then for the other two they do admit to, they told me they can pull it as many times as they see fit per my cardholder agreement if I initiate it. I didn't call back again for a second recon. I was so mad about all of it, considering my profile, that I pretty much relegated them to the back of my wallet and I've put about $20 on the Freedom and CSP since then. That was just to keep it open.

I had a terrible time the one time I attempted my CLI with Chase. Last year, when my account hit one year old, I called them up and got some overseas CSR. I asked for a CLI, gave my income information and was denied.

A couple of hours later I called recon and spoke with someone in the US. and we went deep into my credit report. He asked about my two medical collections on Experian, and why one of my cards was showing maxed out - Barclay's CLD on deferred interest promotion left me with $300 of credit on the card, but I had paid it off, and the $0 balance was reporting, so I knew he was looking for reasons to deny me.

Came back after three times on hold and said he can't approve me because of the collections. I asked him why they would approve me for the card in the first place, when those same collections were reporting, and he had no answer.

I just PC'd this to the Freedom Unlimited yesterday, so it's no longer a rotating category Freedom. If this wasn't my only Visa card, I'd ditch them. I'm going to app the Venture this summer, convert it to a QS, then I'll have a QS Visa I can consolidate my current Capital One card into. Then it's goodbye Chase.

They also have a pretty hard internal total line which you could bump into rightaway or maybe a few K or even less into a CLI, and you won't know where the line is before actually bumping into it.

Just get a new card instead, in which case even if you are already at that line, lending will be more than happy to move CL from another card and also have no problem letting you know the minimal needed to open the new card. Whereas bumping into the line while requesting CLI means a wasted HP (you can stil ask them to shuffle CLs around, however, normally you don't need a HP to shuffle CLs around).

Has anyone sucked up, got HP for CLI, and then applied for a different card and got HP combined? I know that is kind of a dumb backwards way to do it because new cards bring in bonuses. The only argument is if you are in fear of new accounts

I don't mean to be a negative nancy and burst your bubble, but with Capital One having transferred to MC recently, how are you going to get a new Venture (MC) and convert it to a QS Visa?

Or is there something I'm missing.... Genuine curiosity, not being a smart-allic.

Unless you aren't die-hard set on "visa only".

Venture is back to Visa for now, and PC's with Capital One always retain their original network.
