Two of the same Chase cards???

So I had two Wamu credit cards; the platinum and the ESPN card and receved new account terms from Chase stating that both of these cards would convert to th Chase Flexible Rewards cards. Since I really have no need for two identical credit cards, does anyone know if after the conversion I may be able to convert one of these two cards to say maybe a chase freedom card or something such as that? Any insight would be appreciated.

I have a Chase freedom for 8K and yesterday I went to Chase and they said that I qualify for a Chase freedom worth 8K. I told them that I already had one. They said it did not matter and approved me on the spot for another 8K freedom cards. So including the 4.5K from Wamu, Chase has extended me 20K in credit. his is great because two years ago my score was 485. Bottom line-apparently you can get two of the same card.

thats my case also I called them then they say no option like that but I heard that you could do card upgrade so,

when they can change the program not sure if they can merge it. but no luck..

I will be going for the world record in Freedom Cards

I have 2 chase - Amazon and Disney and 2 Wamu - points and ESPN. Wife has 1 chase - some very vanilla card and 1 WaMu EPSN. I am going to try to PC my 2 WaMu's to Freedom Cards, PC her Wamu to a Freedom and her other Chase Card to a Freedom as soon as I am done with one move I am making with that card. Would love to have 4 freedoms - could get 3% off a lot of bills.

But between her and I we will have $68K in Chase CL when WaMu converts, so I am really anxious to see how this works.

Now I know why you use that moniker. I am going to chill with the aps for a while, until my middle score crosses 720 or I get preapproved for a kick ass card.like Discover. For the first time in years I feel like joined the human race. I will never go back to the 480's.
