Does Chase automatically apply CLI or does the user have to manually request it? If it's automated, when should i expect one? Have had my cc for 2 months so I know it's too soon to expect or request one. Just curious as I have never had a Chase cc before. Thanks.

If I posted this in the wrong place, let me know. Thanks

I had the Amazon Prime Visa for about 4 months and put about $4,000 of spending through it without an auto CLI. I requested a CLI via secured messages and they gave it to me, but they requested a HP. However, I was at a $500 SL and asked for a $2000 CLI and they granted it, so that was nice.

From my experience, you need to request the CLI with a HP to get anywhere.

The best way to get CLls with Chase is to app for another Chase card. Preferably one with a bonus.
Then you can move limits to the cards you use the most.
From watching the forums, most folks get the biggest bang for their HP's adding another card verses requesting CLIs with Chase.

I agree with the above post. If your profile can absorb adding another account (over just a HP CLI) it makes the most sense to add another Chase card... preferably one that is known to provide a strong SL which can then be moved to whichever product you currently have.
