Can you afford the HP. With your scores (not sure of your complete profile) and history with them...you may get a pretty nice increase....good luck!! It would take you out of the garden though...so I get it...

Go to your online account and check to see if it shows a SP increase. If so, request your desired limit from there. If it gives you an increase and that increase isn't enough. Request a HP increase and shoot for the stars.
It has to be pass the 6 months mark before it will allow an increase IME. And not a day sooner.

I had initially been approved with an SL of $1,500 and then immediately requested a CLI upon receipt of the card at the same time as I had activated it, without even using it for any transactions, and they gave me a bump to $5,000 with that HP. The CLI link was there on my screen, and it did warn me of a HP, but I was willing to go for it. I requested 10,000 and got 5,000.

I'd say if you realllyyyyyy want the CLI for util purposes, and are willing to take the HP, it seems to be quite beneficial. If I was able to get that without even having any spend on the card, I'd venture to say you could get a significant bump as well with your usage. Most of my cards at the time of approval were at 8,000-12,000 which is why I was eager to request a CLI even if it costed me a HP. I mean, I'd already spree'd up on apps, one more HP wasn't gonna kill me.

I've had my DC for 20 months now, $9k starting limit. I normally put about $6k a month on the card and have had to pay the card in the middle of the month else I would have hit the limit. Everytime I have checked online for a CLI it would require an HP which I wasn't going to do. I've finally decided to move all my DC spend to my new Amex SPG card and for those few merchants that don't take Amex I'm moving the rest to my Chase FU.

If your profile is good or Citi loves you you may get the sp increase. But not everyone gets the sp love just because its there. I finally got one 9 months in but they dont want to give me any luv. They did give me 600 bucks recently ,lol, which basically set back that 6 months timetable. Hopefully next time i am eligble they at least give that standard looking $12-1400 most get. If not ah well onto orher cards.

Ps, Wow Nachos Libres, 6k a month and only 9k .

Ok, well here is another situation. I received a soft pull CLI through the citi website in January and got $1600. I figured the soft pull CLI would have disappeared for at least another 6 months. It's back on again for me. I mean, I dont wanna put in another request when it shows a sp and then get tagged with a hp. I think someone on these forums had mentioned that they were tagged with a HP after the website showed a soft pull was all that was needed.

They don't give them out easily

2. Only very very rarely do they give out auto CLI's

3. The only way to get a soft pull is if the credlt limit increase section tells you no credit report will be pulled

4. If you get a CLI you should wait at least 6 months to try for another

Thanks, Jamaica. I have never even seen a credit limit increase section on the screen. Sure wish they would give me a nice CLI. I did not realize the DC was that tough on giving out CLIs. Now I know.

I recently got this card after being flat out rejected for it 2 years ago because of too many INQs. They approved me with $3,900 CL. As soon as I got the card they bumped it to $8K with a HP. I recommend the OP contact them and ask for a HP. Aim high with the CL you want. I said $10 and they countered $8.
