When does Discover announce what Category 3 will be?

It was Amazon and Home Improvement stores. I just checked hubby's old Discover emails for it.

+1000 That's so much of my spend. I've exhausted my SPG and Power Cash Rewards spending for the sign-up bonus and should have the Flagship Rewards soon - can't go back to low rewards on food. LOL

Jason - I don't believe Discover has a cap on the rewards you can earn in their categories but Chase does cap at $1,500 ($75).

Discover does have a cap too at least I get my CashBack doubled that helps.

Nope..... you get 1 year and then the doubling is done!

However if you want 0% again that's an option for another 12 months

If you want another year of double cash back you could go for a Miles card as thats a new line.

While that has historically been true, that may be changing for 2017. By the middle of December, Chase had fully declared the categories for Q1 and Q2 and given hints about Q3 and Q4, while Discover on the other hand only provided categories for Q1 and absolutely nothing for Q2-Q4. Discover announced Q2 in March, months after Chase had announced Grocery and Drugstore for Q2, and Discover still haven't given a hint about Q3 and Q4.
