cap 1 confused!! What to do?

I just got off the phone with a csr and was told that if I combine my two cap one cards that I will basically be kicked out of credit steps. He also suggested that I transfer to the 0 percent card (which I just got this month), which doesn't have the credit steps program. I got my first card in August of last year with a CL of 500. At the end of December I called and got a cli to 1100. I just got the second card with 500 at the end on January. Has anyone else encountered this problem? I want to combine to one card for a higher CL on one card, but I don't want to get kicked out of credit steps. What should I do? TIA

Can you wait until credit steps are over and then combine?

Do you need the higher credit limit at this moment?

Didn't realize that it would be over. And no, I don't NEED a higher limit at the moment. (Feels like mom just scolded me). This grasshopper will practice patience.

I am sorry, i did not mean for it to come out that way lol

I am just saying if you dont need the higher limit at this moment, wait and after you have received all the credit steps possible then go ahead and combine.

Read this thread, it seems as if cap 1 is not living up to their end of the bargain when it comes to credit steps.

economy effects capital one?
