Haven't bought a Gift card in years and read about AA with gift cards on a credit card.

Wanted to get mom a QVC gift card and wondered if any credit cards are still ok with a gift card purchase ? Didn't want to use debit online

You should be fine as long as you're not MS'ing.

I've used my credit card before to buy gift cards as gifts. Shouldn't be a problem - I've used my Sallie Mae card before it was nerfed to buy $300 worth of gift cards from Target when they were on sale for 10% off. No word from Barclays yet!!

I believe the only time buying gift card would be an issue is buying the the type that can be transfer into cash (Visa/Amex). Some stores will not even accept a CC payment for that type of GC. Buying specific store gift card should not be an issue.
