Amex spend Bonus Question

How fast is Amex to give you the bonus points once you meet the spend bonus? I had set an alert to let me know when I spent $2000 in one month, and today i got it-so that means i competed thensoend requirement.

I have had some that are super fast (Chase) and some that are super slow (US Bank)

Where does Amex fit in?

For me pretty fast. Probably the only bonus ive ever completed was for my new ED card spend 1k get 10k MR points. Completed it within my first month and it was showing very fast.

Amex posts bonuses very quickly. They will even give you the bonus points early if you meet the spend threshold in the middle of a statement.

Points from regular spend (not the bonus) are delayed, but overall I think the tradeoff is acceptable.

For me, I think it took a day or two after I hit the threshold. It was well before the first statement cut.

Compared to some of your results, my signup bonuses must be on the slow boat from China! I met my PRG and BCE min spends within one month. PRG shows under Pending Points. I don't have a way to see about pending cash back on the BCE account. My statements both close on the 18th so hopefully I'll be able to update that I see my points later this week!

Im currently waiting on my 50K on the PRG. Met the spend last week. Talked to Amex on chat and they said it could take a max of 6-8 weeks after the spend requirement was met.

Dj, if you dont get them fast maybe call Amex and let them know you would like to use them for next month. Maybe that'll help

Getting my spend bonus on BCE was almost instant. It took about a month for the 50K PRG to show after meeting the spend requirement.

I met my spend on my Plat, PRG, and BCE and had the points/bonus posted to my account within 48 hours.

MR points on Platinum were there the day after my spend posted as a real charge and not pending. My 35k SPG points were in my account about 3 days after I paid my taxes using the card. Any time I take advantage of a AmEx Offer, the points or dollars usually post the day after the charge is finalized.

The 50,000 MR posted on May 19th (day after my statement cut) on my PRG account. My BCE $250 has not posted yet. I confirmed via chat that I met my spend and it's just a matter of waiting 6-8 weeks from when I met it (4/21)
