Chase 7-Eleven Card?

I saw this today when i was getting gas. Could'nt find any apps and the clerk was clueless. I didn't see it on Chase's website either.

Anyone have this or know about it?

I'm surprised Chase hasn't bought out 7-11 and renamed them to 5-24!

It's an old ad for the 7-Eleven Visa. I think that card was discontinued during the recession, which would explain the 10 year old Visa logo.

I'm not surprised this 7-Eleven would leave something around 9 years past its expiration date, but what is different about the logo? The little yellow wing off of the V?

I would've used this this card quite a bit as 7-Eleven gas stations are everywhere around here.

Interesting fact. If you pay for your gas inside the store and not at the pump, and use a Amex blue cash preferred, the purchase will code as grocery and you will get 6%.

This logo was introduced in 2006. The current Visa logo and branding guidelines (has to be white, blue, or metallic - no more white rectangle behind the word Visa) were introduced in 2014.

The branding of credit cards is very intersting to me. MasterCard just rebranded for the first time in 20 years, while Visa seems to go through logo evolutions every 8 to 12 years.

Edit: Here are the current guidelines for Visa branding. Note the new logos are only white, blue, or metallic. Also the white rectangle on the blue logo is only on there because the blue color is the same as the background on the document, lol.

I have 2 Visa cards that are about 2 months old that have a white background behind a blue Visa logo. My Florida Community Bank/Elan and BoA AAA Rewards cards.

I belive the AAA card is a discontinued product, so the branding probably hasn't been updated. I would also guess that your credit union isn't re-desigining their cards very often, but when they do, they'll probably move to the streamlined branding.

The AAA card is still being offered over here. The sample card has the older logo like my actual card has.

BoA will get around to updating it someday

Funny, that card isn't available in my area. AAA of Northern California, Nevada, & Utah.
