topic Navient - No longer taking CC payments :( in Credit Cards

So I went ot make my monthly student loan payment by CC today and to my surpise two things... 1) I had a past due balance?? Say why! Anyways I know I paid it last month by CC 2) I went to pay my student loan and they stated they no longer accept CC on automated phone system.

I think what happened with bullet point #1 is they did at this point in time, but within they day or so I made payment the policy was changed and they must of never charged my CC and thus no payment was made and it was past due. I then made last months payment and this months payment online by ACH. I proceeded to call and ask Navient to make sure I wasn't going to get a late payment on my Credit report and they stated no it must be 90 days late and I was actually only 2 days late on my last payment, not this months payment so all good there then I went to ask her why they no longer take CC's.. She stated even though Navient wants to take CC payments the CC companies no longer want to be accepted as payment.. This seems weird to me.. I am not sure if she was full of BS or if this is true the CC companies don't want to be part of the student loan business meaning paying through them which doesnt really make sense as they pass on the fees to the CC companies unlesss they feel it is "risky" for some reason?

Has anyone else experienced a similiar thing to me recently? Sure alot of you all make Student loan payments by CC or use to at least.... Annoying to say the least.

Just use Plastiq. Ask any of us here for our referral code in PM and you'll get your first fee free up to a certain amount.

Navient didnt charge fees as all.... I beleive plastiq I can onnly use one code one time and cant keep on getting new codes from member or can you keep on doing so? Was nice as was fee free with them.. Rather just have an APR reduction on student loan I assume for auto debit from checking account of .25% which for my amount of loan actually adds up.
